At the end of the day who are more likely to be duped with such propaganda? Western nations, or middle east nations?
President Bush effectively forcing us to invade Iraq caused an absolute and utter distrust for us to distrust our intel services.
We on this forum ultimately have to blindly follow our leaders, just as middle eastern folks have to listen to their leaders - but which side is lying? none of us know. We pay our taxes and vote for our leaders. Intel can vary from facts, both facts and intel can be manipulated on both sides.

I follow no-one blindly. I have been given a brain and I use it. I, despite being disabled was one of the 1 million plus who campaigned and marched in protest at Bliar's invasion of Iraq, and I still say that man is an uncovicted war criminal !!!

 

I happen to think drone warfare is one of the things Obama got right. If not for Obama's efforts Trump would have had to deal with this the old fashioned way. Which means mobilizing a military force, feeding them and occupying territory. Unfortunately pulling out of Iraq as we did only invited exactly what we have seen, interference from Iran. After all of this time Iraqis as still inclined to invite the Iranian wolf into the hen house.

How did any of the others manage to avoid military service? Aside from Kerry and McCain, none of our potential presidents had honestly served (GW Bush is a prime example of someone dodging while serving). Trump isn't the first and won't be the last. Look at the grief Gabbard is getting when she's a better candidate than most of the democrats running. And she actually served (unlike the rest).

It used to be an impressive landmark, but most Americans don't actually care about who may have served these days.

If I was trying to fool you, we'd be a lot more friendly because I'd be agreeing with everything you say. I like folks who get things accomplished that benefit most Americans. That's a really great question. Complicated too. Iran has been a troublemaker for a very long time, so the idea that they are going to go in and "help" Iraq is a slap in the face to all the efforts the US invested there. But I don't blame Iran, a stray dog is going to bite. I blame Iraq for constantly looking for others to hold their hand and then freaking out when they get a Saddam in charge. And he was a problem going back to the USS Stark. Bottom line, I dislike waste.
