I'm 100% certain it wasn't only to deflect attention from US national shit. It's clear Trumps America has use for what they're trying to instigate in the middle east. You might be reading my posts in a particular tone then. I see as much comments coming from you that can also be regarded as such, so you stating this seems hypocritical. I try not to let it affect the convo.
Yea, I wasn't there. But I do recall the mess that central America became as a result of governmental experimentation by agencies of the US. Under the guise of trying to keep Soviet nukes out of our hemisphere (while parking American nukes in Europe), creeps like the CIA were allowed to run roughshod all over Latin America. It was disgusting. From what I have read of the Cuba fiasco, it's clear there was a substantial betrayal that caused the country to be handed over to the ill-equipped rebels. With organized crime woven into the Cuban government and the American mob laying out plans for a resort nation (complete with an enslaved population, for fetching drinks and golf clubs) it could be that the US pulled the plug to cover up aspects of their involvement that are yet to be revealed. Here's a dandy musical presentation regarding Cuba............ Creative lyrics!
I think its terribly stupid to portray a person like Bush as stupid. We may thoroughly disagree with what his priorities were, and find those stupid, but he was obviously quite cunning. Trump seems terribly undisciplined and stupid in certain ways he communicates, but he neither is stupid. They're leaders who suits it to consciously destabilize other regions in favor of their own country (makes them little better than Putin).
And it's still not racist to call him the "Chimperor". Remember all that talk about how Bush was never going to step down and that he wanted to be a dictator? He was even compared to Hitler. Of course it isn't. How would it be. Calling white people, esp kids of course, apes or monkeys was never regarded as racist or any other form of discrimination. With blacks this is different. I for one don't agree with it, but not acknowledging this difference at all seems silly.
Here's some of his quotes: "You don't get everything you want. A dictatorship would be a lot easier."—Texas Governor, George W. Bush, Governing Magazine, July 1998. "If this were a dictatorship, it would be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator."—President-elect George W. Bush, CNN.com, December 18, 2000. "A dictatorship would be a heck of a lot easier, there's no question about it."—President George W. Bush, Business Week, July 30, 2001. "To say 'unchecked power' basically is ascribing some kind of dictatorial position to the President, which I strongly reject."—President George W. Bush, White House Press Release, December 19, 2005 See if you can guess which ones were taken out of context by the media.
Exactly. It's a perfect example of entrenched class warfare. Middle class sons got on a boat/plane to Vietnam, in person. There were exceptions, but not enough to justify over 50,000 dead Americans.
So I did not know this, but one still has to register for the draft. Draft registration was ended in 1975, but Carter revived it owing to Cold War tensions. Reagan said he would end it, but never did.
Boy oh boy I can’t wait to tell my grandchildren about how I survived the 1/2 day war with Iran in 2020
True. However i'd rather see Trump get kicked in the nuts than having a war that threatens communities.
