ok, here is a brief trailer trash explination:

calling a white person trailer trash is the same as calling a black person a n****; it is meant to be offensive.

it comes from the stereotype that all trailer parks:
have run down trailers with trash everwhere,
vehicles on cinder blocks with no wheels;
most living don't have jobs and live on the state or work at walmart;
most do drugs and/or are drug dealers;

yanno, anything that is 180 from white middle/upper middle class suburbia (another stereotype)

on a side note; there was an episode on the Travel channel (I think it was) where they went to a "trailer park" just north of Los Angeles, the lots were going for $180,000 each.

 

trailer trash is definitely a stereotype..i grew up with a huge trailer park 2 blocks away and i am guilty of 'profiling' the girls from the park...they were known to be a bit slutty lol..i have a high school friend that still lives in the trailer he grew up in...i gotta say that life looks pretty good from where i sit with a 300 a month gas bill to heat an 80 year old piece of shit house

Actually, I have lived in a trailer twice before. But each time it was under a year, so I don't qualify as trailer trash, IMO. :mickey:

Trailer Trash is a term used by some when feeling superior to others. Like many of those other terms they often use, it simply shows their lack of breeding.

 

I cant help how I feel.. Ive never felt Im worth anything. As for being a long while before Im gone, I dunno. My health has deteriorated a lot the last few years, sometimes I feel like Ive not long yet for this world. Which wouldnt be a bad thing, I guess. lol

Happiness, what's that? I think in daydreams is the only place Im likely to find that...

Trailer trash and white trash seem to be used as interchangable slurs around here. Neither tend to be complimentary terms. Seems to me that there is an element of trashy people to be found in every niche of society world wide, a counter balence to decent folks I guess and just part of the overall flavor of how life is...probably those same folks were called cave trash by our distant ancestors...or maybe tree trash if we really get back in the evolutionary time frame.

I've spent some time in trailers in the South. Most of my uncles were in the oil biz and followed a drilling rig around Mississippi and other Southern states. If you didn't want to drive 100 miles home each day you brought your family along in the trailer.

I have seen some pretty trashy trailer parks also, but there are some that really look nice - I guess those that are well managed. I guess the term comes from the more common ones that are not kept up.

It also applies to ppl who are not invested in a house. Trailers are cheaper, quicker and more temporary than building a house on your property. You see them all over the south - more comfortable than the old rustic wooden houses but not as aesthetic.

Ive never aimed for big things... all Ive ever wanted, is to be able to lead a normal, average, everyday life as myself. And to not live in fear. But even that is too much to ask, it seems. Im living a hollow shell of a life, where Im not living, just merely existing. For me, waking up each day is a small miracle. How Ive managed to make it this far, Ive no idea. lol

Why does everyone think when I talk wanting to be able to live "a normal average everyday life", Im referring to sex? Is the world really that totally obsessed with it, that they place emphasis on that above all else?

I think the world is obsessed with sex. Maybe I'm just obsessed with sex.

Then there is 'love'. Another ambiguous thing everybody is supposed to imbue themselves with .. as though it's universal and everyone can just choose to be in love.
