Suffering, creative ingenuity, love... they're products of the conceptual mind (if by conceptual mind you mean the brain). You can create, alter, or cease these concepts in the mind by directly influencing the brain, no experience necessary. Normally, though, the brain interprets experiences through chemical reactions, then the brains that can create concepts can label the results of these reactions with ideas like suffering, love, etc... But the ideas don't exist outside the brain, they're purely concepts. This is why science can't measure them, per se, although it can track the brain's process in creating and interpreting them.
The brain's responses to suffering, creative ingenuity, and love are mere byproducts. They are the effect, not the cause. Alright, then prove it: compose a symphony of the calibre that Mozart did by "directly influencing the brain". Inspiration, creativity, ingenuity -- these are phenomena that are sourced in an energy that transcends identification with a separative existence, as well as the limited consciousness that encompasses the exclusive identification with the physical body. Nearly all of histories' great geniuses and pioneers in all creative and scientific fields acknowledged the existence of higher consciousness in one form or another. Mozart spoke of music writing itself, with himself only acting as a conduit for creative expression. Beethoven attributed his creative genius to devotion to his spiritual path. Galileo was a man of deep spiritual conviction, and remained true to his beliefs even following his excommunication from the church. Einstein once declared: "The more I study physics, the more I become interested in metaphysics". The brain's processing of experience through chemical reactions is merely symptomatic of that which compels this process: the soul's inhabitation of the body. It's similar to the concept of using radiation and chemotherapy to treat cancer -- these methods address the symptom, not the root cause of the problem. Ask nearly any cancer survivor about what they think caused their cancer. Those who overcame the disease using natural means almost inevitably respond by saying that they were attached to a negative energy of some type that they had to consciously dissipate. Change the level of consciousness an individual is operating at and instantaneously one can observe a shift in brain chemistry, as well as all other physiological manifestations of energetic configuration. Of course, this knowledge is only fully available to those who have the capacity to directly experience the interconnectedness of all life. By the way, kudos for improving your writing. I knew you could do it. Travis
