Oh we could all sit here and debate this for hours. But the fact of the matter is that pot is bad. It harms your whole body. And I'm sure the pot smokers are going to come up with some positives that are probably not true. So if you want to take the risk that you'll go to hell. Then go ahead. I'm not here to judge others. That's up to God. If you want to feel good, don't smoke pot, but believe in the God. Now that's a real high. If it was ok to smoke it, don't you think there would have been mention of it in the Bible? Anyone can get whatever they want out of the Bible if you take things out of context.

If you want to stay ignorant, that's your point of view. Just remember that every time you breathe in, under your logic, it is a sin. Or when you take painkillers after surgery...or even surgery for that matter!

Is it okay to go to theme parks, cause there is no mention of those in the Bible? What about snorkling? What about walking around naked in your house?

You're right when you say that anyone can get whatever they want out of the bible. But it isn't just about context, it's about context and interpretation. Otherwise you wouldnt have catholics, lutherans, baptists, methodists, etc...

Ok so how's this it's illegal. I know you're going to say. So is speeding to, but people do it everyday. I'm just talking about pot, nothing else. All your points are very valid. I treat my body like a gift from God. And painkillers are a different situation. If you need something so you don't go insane, then use it. So if pot was prescribed, then use it. But I know I'm not go to please you with whatever I say...lol

Yes, that's why I said it. I think what you need me to provide is physical proof with the Bible. I can't provide that. I just go on faith.

That has nothing to do with what we are talking about...

I don't need proof that the bible says smoking is wrong. I KNOW it doesn't specifically say that smoking is wrong, so you can't just say something like:

It isn't mans evil that it is being smoked. The sin lies in disobeying your government. That is what I have said from the beginning, in post #18 to which you replyed:

And BTW, it doesn't make you very smart when you try to tell me what you think I am going to say...especially when I made the same argument for pot being a sin just a few posts earlier.

What are you talking about anymore? Faith of what? Faith that pot is bad? I don't understand if you are trying to make a point or not.

Well, if you believe that stuff. I am not a christian, I just know the religion and the bible very well.

I'm just trying to point out to people that their individual interpretation of the bible is not the absolute and right interpretation.
