In your mind, that's no different from a 10 year old boy being leered at from the stage at an adult gay bar for the express purpose of being leered at and to accept dollar bills from adult males as he dances. well there you go, you left school during the worst years of everyone's life. i don't care what anyone does, their life should always get better after 16.

my college days were pretty amazing, although even then there was still plenty of room for improvement. it's really not a competition for most fun years or anything like that, it's just that college is pretty much designed to be a whole shitload of fun, so if you attend and you don't enjoy yourself, then you are probably doing something wrong.

I didn't mean to imply it was a competition. It's just you sound so unsatisfied with life so frequently, and it makes me want to point out that you can design your life to be a shit load of fun. But I don't know why, really. I'll stop mentioning it.

Here is a similar mentality among many people about college and I agree with Undies: its an excellent time to indulge in. Also without joining a frat club or partying with them. I never was busy with them either... and we got plenty of them.

 

I lived on campus for a year and it wasn't like the movies.

 

I had a pretty underwhelming/downright bad college experience, to be honest.

Grad school was much better.

And regular life is even better than that.

Ii went looking for an album cover by some metal band called Face Eater but was disappointed by the lack of results. That's easily a brutal, gutteral slamming death metal act out of Maryland or something. Lol.

 

this is true, i was only referring to the american college system, which is the one i'm familiar with. from my understanding, some foreign colleges may actually focus on educating people rather than just being accessible to everyone with the ability to give them money.

eww, no. one frat tried to get me to join right at the start of freshman year, and i went to one of their parties. it was probably the worst party i went to all four years.

after that, i mostly avoided the frat guys except to buy weed from them.

eh, i do vent on here, and there are some changes that i would like to make that i haven't been successful in so far, but overall i'm satisfied. but in this case, i just had so much fun at college that i can't imagine many adult lifestyles that can really compete with it. it can happen, but it's very rare and would require good decisions and a lot of luck.
