"Break free!" the little mouse yells at the suits hurrying to their desks while their faces tell the tale of wants and wishes for being somewhere else. Instead they escape in their fantasy world of books and forums. "Why do most humans watch life pass them by within the safety of their box? They look out their window to what could be if they dared to change instead of taking a leap and do the unthinkable. Change! Break Free!"

    A repost from another place.

"...then, now, and totally unrelated, but it has to be said, or should it?" asks the little mouse, then she laughs, nibbles on some cheese, closes her eyes, inhales deeply the scents in the room, and relishing in their existence. "However wanted, happiness isn't always within ones grasp. Within reach, maybe, but out of it none-the-less." She chuckles, then laughs out loud and wiggles her toes eliciting a response most wanted. "It's the simple things, small, every-day, run-of-the-mill gestures that bring joy and lightness to the being one must endure. Take the good, and see the positive one has, instead of looking at one must miss." The little mouse smiles as she whispers, "If only it could last forever."

A repost from the other place where writers stare, but fail to see ...

"Most humans lack understanding of their nature," the little mouse says as she fails to see the reason for calling this season the festive one. "Crapmas, and then they fight while they should enjoy and celebrate their life and love what they have instead of bemoan what they cannot have, but covet." The little mouse smiles as she puts another piece of pine on the fire. "Yes, those trees do heat up the house. It serves better use on fire than decorated and stood in a corner of the lounge." She shakes her head as she watches a lady struggling to juggle too many presents bought to celebrate.... What? Does she even know what they are supposed to celebrate, or does she just celebrates the Money God, the God of Consumerism? Buy more, buy now! Eat more, eat what you do not need, not even really like. You must, because it's Crapmas and if one does not partake, one is an outcast." The little mouse laughs and says, "Good thing mice do not need to celebrate a human feast." And she nibbles on some cheese with ginger.

"Lalalala, lala, lala," the little mouse sings as she reclines on the sofa and happily stretches after some exercise. "Yes, with crapmas coming one cannot fully distance ones self from the madness of it all." She pats her stomach and smiles. "What to eat and when? What to wish for and from whom? And not entirely unimportant, will there be a brisk walk after Boxing day lunch?" Shaking her head she thinks of all the food accumulated in the cupboards.

    A repost then

"... fell in the trap of the lure of 'three for two' and 'two for one'." The addictive soul the little mouse is got captured and the rucksack loaded to the max. Stood on the ledge it seemed not that heavy as her mind was burdened with a heavy load of guilt for this foolish behaviour. "For isn't it due to humans and their insatiable need to consume, to get the deal, save money, one of the reasons their world is being consumed? Chop down the forests! Humans need to grow corn. Not to eat, but to produce bio-fuel and save the planet. Or to keep cattle to feed the lust after fast food. Mac, The King and KFC. No! No saving there, destruction is more like it," she mutters and hooks the straps over her shoulders. Then took a light step forwards and nearly toppled over backwards. She would have landed on her back, braking the bottles of wine. Instead she managed to find some sort of balance. "What if humans could find that balance too. Even in this crazy season. Feeding their mouths in a reasonable way and not burdening their world. A balance which leaves room for the guilty pleasures of Western consumerism. Eventually stood, firmly packed, yet unburdened, she walked the long mile home. "See? As easy as pie," The little mouse smiles, proud of herself. She cannot evade the supermarket traps, but can save in her own unnoticed way. Just walk instead of drive and buy products local instead of imported. Then her stomach growls and she feels the weight of the rucksack pulling her down from the high she was on. "... how a grumbling stomach and an addictive mind makes a for a susceptive victim of the supermarket mafia." Once at home sat on the sofa, wine in hand and under the duvet she remembers the cheese and rises to check if there's still some left. "That wine was on sale, couldn't pass on the offer. But with wine I'd want cheese which wasn't on some special action and if not for the wine, the cheese wouldn't have been bought and already nearly polished off." Because this little mouse fell in the trap of false savings and ended up spending more than she'd really had to. She knew the supermarket mafia design their traps for humans to walk into and they do so happily, like she has proven yet again. "Just some dishwasher soap, bread, and milk. That was really all they needed, instead it became an overpacked rucksack and two carrier bags. "The greed buried in every human took over, or was it 'spend now save later' that make humans forget the only saving is found in not spending, but only buy what is truly needed." Startled by how stock piled the cupboards in the kitchen are she realises the amount of food within reach would last them weeks and nothing but milk and bread is really needed. "But that chocolate they had last night was very nice, maybe tomorrow they could get some more ...?"

Without much more ado, slumber world came with welcome relief, for the day had been busy and there was so much more to experience in the days of tomorrow. Thinking upon the days of future past often stimulates the mind set of humans, though for creatures of high and low standing, such complexities are as simple as a leaf falling from a tree, in that the direction may flow with the breeze but as soon as it departs from original holding it's destiny is to land and be live no more.
The trick was to get as much out of the time one has and be a euphoric as is possible. Plans on the spur of the moment are always the most exciting and indeed most adventurous.
Following what had seemed to be an age of rest, the subconscious alarm clock rang, with the instinct to move with stealth though haste was upon the one - hunger was the first desire and so with a thirst for liquid and hunger for food - with swift movement though confined in shadow, the search for, and decision of choice was paramount. Soon there was reward and before our hero was a treasure trove of delight, of which there would be of plentiful menu.

"...my my your illustrators eye is getting sharper lucky..." comments Jats reading back a little, and liking to do that, not visit somewhere for a while, leave them to it, and then go take a big gulp of posts in one bite when hungering for it "...though remember I'm not one of your readership that adds daily, no it is not my attention you should be craving for there are writers out there a plenty that need saving, from there selves too now then..." smiles Jats then wincing a little for it as the wisdom tooth reminds him that the antibiotics have not quite done their job on it yet "...but remember to warn them that it will change them by it..." laughs Jats with no pain this time and so grabs his scarf and goes out to seize the day with all the pragmatic planning, and fussing, and worrying done beforehand that all these spontaneous types forget about, until they are stuck on the hard shoulder in the freezing rain stranded "...oh and you haven't seen my car keys have you..." Jats wonders, pacing around the little cottage by the canal while the chameleon steals a few choice gifs

"Some characters are so full of themselves they sometimes forget common courtesy, or the fact that the interweb, and fora in particular are very public places and what one says in one place travels faster than the speed of light to be read by someone who might take offence," the little mouse says, she laughs and reassures the chameleon, "Don't worry, I'm sure the missus knows where your keys are, if you haven't found them yet." She laughs as she listens to Dusty and the sounds coming from the kitchen. "It's good to know some are just plain what you see is what you get, no pretence, no agenda." Smiling she reaches out for some reassurance she doesn't really needs but loves to get.

"Another year come and gone. One blinks ones eye and a life has changed, for better or worse, one does not know, but what doesn't change will fail," the little mouse says. "Change is needed for one to grow, for growth in itself is a change from what was to what could be, or should be. The journey to ones inner most self is not one to taken lightly," she warns. "For along that path awaits the inner demon. One who travels unaware of the danger on such a journey might be surprised to find themselves less than they think they are, or have more of the trait they tried hard to deny they harbour." She shakes her head, then laughs and says, "To travel along the path of growth is a dangerous journey, one not to be taken lightly if one is not prepared to face the truth of ones inner most self. The hidden ugliness must be faced and battled before one can truly move onto greener pastures. The gates of hell must be opened and demons expelled before one can truly be liberated and grow to be the creature one wishes to be, but not all wishes are readily available to become more than that. What one wishes to be true, to be better might just as well turn out to be a mere change of scenery, for one cannot run from ones self." Inhaling deeply and stretching out her hands to the sky, as if to grab the sun, moon and stars, the little mouse says, "Do not run, but embrace what is yours and live to the best of your abilities. Accept the who of you and change the what that can be changed. Be aware of your inner most self and know its flaws, love ones inner self, for without love of ones self, one cannot love another."

    ...a repost then...

"...crikey..." laughs Jats "...that’s the problem with modern women in their sexual peaks with their insatiable appetites and oft kinky bent having plenty of learned tricks up their sleeves that would cause even a younger chap difficulty to keep up with their voracious appetites, and so once I have given them that orgasm like nothing they have ever experienced in their lives, some of them even finding God, well they shout his name often enough, they just want it again and again, where for me, by then, I would rather have a nice cup of tea instead, while they are still tied to the bed..."

The little mouse laughs and can't help but remark, "but we all know women peak longer and have the ability to endure that what would reduce men to crying babies." She shudders as she thinks of what women have to endure for the sake of the continuation of the species. "Just think of the waxing of unwanted hairs from parts men would not want hot wax anywhere near," she says while grinning as she picks up the candle and slowly tips it only to stop the wax from actually dripping. "Tied to the bed Jats?" The little mouse puts the candle back on the table and waves. "Would you deprive yourself of what a woman's hands and body can do for you? Like making the tea and serving it wearing just stockings, a shawl and stilettos."

She winked and said, "A mouse is never off guard, or awkward for that matter, too tiny to not be aware of things at all times." Then laughs as she remembers more than one account where she had to admit to have been oblivious.

"Why do sometimes humans not communicate but assume and then react surprised or even upset when their actions have a different outcome then they anticipated?" The little mouse shakes her head as she ponders what to do about a certain film that needs to be watched but suddenly has turned into a chore rather than something she looked forward to. "All because of assumptions and misconceptions and the lack of communication."

"Which film Lucky?" asked Dejavu, curious about the chore, and doing his best to sound communicative, which he was, despite the interwall between us all. "We humans would love to be understood before making ourselves understood. We're famously vain in that regard." he continued. "But it's harmless enough a vice when we're men and not mice" he winked.

...sounds to me like you need to learn to say sorry more and need to get laid lucky, or just write more then... a repost, helping flea to encourage a new writer elsewhere...

"...keep reading fleas posts xxxxxx, hold the line, stay with me now..." whispers Jats from the side of the stage having been enjoying the show "...so you are writing a book then xxxxxx, good, don't tell me what it's about, and for sure I could point you to a really good writers site where writers actually write, even though they banned me there too, but that one was really my own fault for prodding the moderators into a paranoid hysterical fit of self though thankfully without harming fleas progress who has an amazing thread there, and so yes you could air your work there, get some tips, and well meaning advice, along with everyone else, and then you can join the writers on the self published assembly line, where who knows you might get to be a mod yourself one day, or even one of those writer trolls (same old shit, just bigger words), yes watch out for those, though I'm sure you'll cope after your training here now..." chuckles the chameleon enjoying seeing the words drip sarcastically upon the page "...and then that's when your problems really begin cus even if your book is really really really good, who's gonna read it then..." wonders the chameleon now pulling all his 'published' posts from his little box and reposting them then while Jats stares at his own reflection thinking the beard definitely makes him look a little more like Sean Bean every day now

The little mouse laughs and then grins like the Cheshire cat, "Needs must, my dear chameleon, needs must, or one must give in to ones needs?" She laughs again and pick up her fountain pen to write which was overdue. "But to humans the world is a stage and they all must play their role, need to play their role, for without their designated spot they are lost, unhappy. Is it much different for a mouse, a chameleon, or even one whose very name reeks of times past?" The little mouse raises her glass filled with a rather fine Australian red. "Yes, humans thrive when they can fit into their box readied for them upon birth, even if that box has a different shape then they anticipated it to have. Bend or brake, like all things in nature, human nature needs to be able to bend to fit circumstances or break when unable to adapt."

("...your choice of a mouse as your persona seems most apt...." mentioned the goblin, noting yet another book that the mouse had now written, not to mention the fact that each day she introduced a new author to the others upon the blogword there, adding "...yes, that blogworld seems quite different from this forumland here, where the real fun is going to see how one bridges the two domains together in one's persona, in that the authors seemed to slip out of sight after the introduction is over, whereas the livewriters, of which you are one now, hoped to remain in view...", in fact, the goblin's goal of replyship not readership never wavered, simply the internet was interactive, it appealed to his nature then )

"Ah, yes, most of them are too busy to hang around and show their appreciation, or even engage in written conversation with their readers. Or future readers. They see it not as an opportunity to interact and build those bridges, make connections and become known. Most think of it as an ad, just another way to have their name, their book, or their presence spread and think they need not acknowledge the work which goes into preparing and spreading the words on the blog. Most authors are selfish creatures, but isn't that a human trait. Isn't the human the ultimate selfish creature who will always, first and foremost think of itself rather than of the future and use every opportunity to link their existence with that of other humans in their sphere, real or virtual." The little mouse smiles and offers the Goblin a small consolation, "But for every ten blindly charging on human there's the one who will engage and give us the bricks upon which we can build that strong castle that will stand the test of time and will not crumble when it is left on its own for a while."

"Bladerunner then," said Dejavu, reeking as he did so of times past. "Well, I won't say what I was going to about it, not wanting to spoil it for you and all.' he added, looking at the picture lucky had posted. "Pris is activated exactly two years from today!" he laughed, having looked up the movie to refresh his old memory a little.

"What is favoured can soon turn into less than desired when time change and pressure falls upon a human to perform to satisfaction." The little mouse laughs as she nibbles on the remnants of the now cold pizza. "How something is perceived often says more of ones inner most self than it shows the inner workings of the object of scrutiny. Humanity shows more often than not its inner most self in ways the self does not even realise it shows not until it is too late and words are written to never again be erased. Even such a thing as the spoken word cannot be unspoken, forgiven, but never forgotten, until one day those words will haunt the human and turn against their speaker/writer. The inner most self will not be denied its right to existence and cannot be repressed eternally. It will live on for it has no expiry date. No, not only has it no maximum lifespan, it will live on well after the demise of the human it resides in. If only through their words, their 'soul', if you will, will live on to contribute to the hive humanity is. For do not most, if not all, humans strive to be a part of humanity? Do they not feel that need to belong, to be a part of something bigger? Whether it be in the fight against the moneygod, or be it in the fight to belong to those who worship him, they all want to be a part of it, to not be alone. For humans are like Pris and Roy want to belong and be more than they are, or is it that by wanting to become more human they become less than what they could have been had they been content with their inner most self?" The little mouse shakes her head as she too realises there is a need for change and that she too perceives that change to be good. "Less cheese and more carrots. Less grapes and more apples. Less words and more deeds." And she laughs as she sees the amount of work done already on a lazy Sunday afternoon. "yes, change is good, but remain ones self and do not judge ones self against the self of others."
