Having a long weekend here. It's really beautiful and absolutely freezing cold. They still have all their Christmas lights and decorations up. I've eaten lots of hearty Polish food. People are pretty friendly apart from the drunks who wander around the main squares at 3am. It's my first trip to Eastern Europe. Now I want to put Prague, Budapest, and St Petersburg on my list.
Have you gone to the medieval fighting ring yet? It's on the outskirts of the old village. Also try find a Cafe Lulu, is a wodka Cafe. Nothing special. Just I've had some good times hehe. And have you taken the bus tour to Auschwitz yet? That's a to do thing to do in that city.
Thanks for the vodka cafe tip, I'll look out for it today. I really don't want to go to Auschwitz. Went to the salt mine yesterday. It had some amazing salt sculptures.
Have you noticed all the girls holding hands? It's one of the best places for gay girls I think. For such a Christian country, I was amazed how lesbian friendly it really is.
i heard they have a few old campgrounds nearby krakow-plaszow an old friend of mine is from nearby lwow/lviv
