Family, you can’t do much about. You pretty much have to get along, up to a point. Politics, ethics, and suchlike are pretty central to who you are, and how you work as a person. With that in mind, I personally find it impossible to be friends with people who have very different views. It’s not running away from anything, it’s just that there’s no common ground, as far as I can see.
I don’t enjoy arguing. I find it boring and pointless. I’m not going to change my opinions, I don’t expect I would change someone else’s.

"Pot stirrer" was a label applied to Pres. Trump & more than 30 yr ago too! Back in 1987, when Trump was making a play for the Vegas Golden Nugget company, a newspaper article quoted a financial investment analyst as saying that "Trump tends to get the pot stirred up ..."

By then, Trump had a history of announcing plans to buy just under a 25% interest in (mainly) casino & hotel corporations, wait for the stock prices to rise; then sell off what stock he had & be done with it. Then there were the occasions when companies bought back what stock he did have at inflated prices, just to be rid of an unwanted investor.

As for blacklisting over "politics," because I think politics as it's advertised on radio & TV is a much-watered down version of 50 yr ago, reduced these days to gossip & scandal, I don't see myself as really discussing politics per se but just usually the history of how we got here. For example, I read recently that the U.S. Dept. of Treasury is handsomely profiting from the round of tariffs. I've always thought the real reason that Trump finally ran in earnest for Pres. was his desire to drain Treasury for his own benefit. See if in another 5 or so years that is the case.

Sure you can. I have had ZERO problem not talking to my sister. I don't live anywhere around her and don't have to plan any holidays around seeing her. Once my mom passes I will have pretty much no reason to need to be concerned about her.

My brother, announced he was leaving the country if Trump got elected. I respect that he followed through with those plans. He didn't have the money he needed to get there, so I helped him out as a token of respect for his cause, and funded his flight to the Philippines. He thought he could live there on a budget. He has announced after 2 years he doesn't like it there. But doesn't have any money to get back and start over again. I can't seem to come up with any extra cash either. My sister can't seem to either. I was surprised by that. She's loaded.

It's not as hard as you might think. His ticket was the best money I have spent in the last decade.

This is my sister and I to a T. Recently, however she declared she would vote for Roy Moore to improve chances for the repeal of Roe v. Wade. I lost a lot of respect for her because of this. I no longer think of her in the same light. To her, and most of the evangelicals "the end justifies the means".

FWIW: shes not on FB but I would unfriend her is she was.

    Not look forward to Thanksgiving.

I have friends that favour an alternate Sporting team - we have banter though = Still remain 'friends'
I have fiends that are supportive of Political parties 'of which I despair' - I don't engage for whilst all are entitled to their opinion and the consequence of free speech, to take them on (unless it's aggressively provocative or racially/diversity prejudice) feel it would become too personal and a parting of the waves inevitably
    - Speaking of witch - when I was challenged about my Faith - and it's legitimacy, I responded with articulate, profound and pertinent challenge - their reaction was to 'un-friend me' - Ah well - just goes to show the tolerance; and some might say credibility of their religion - or perhaps, the calibre of their character - witch doesn't deserve the pleasure of my company - I.M.O. :)

I admit I have very a dark sense of humor. And I said it not out of hatred, but to get a reaction. And boy did I ever. I think posted that over a year ago, and you're still going on and on about it to this day LOL! I used that joke because the loudest and most obnoxious feminist stereotypes are frequently overweight, ugly broads from the body-positivity movement. Does this joke apply to all feminists? No, because there's some attractive and feminine ones out there.

    NPCs gonna NPC

    npcsoy.jpg

That's the first problem: you rely on Google for the truth. Google has turned corrupt with altering the search results to favor far left campaigns and narratives. So of course they'll bring you hit pieces that strawman the NPC meme as a character used only by the alt-right. Guess what, not everyone you oppose is alt-right. The left side of the media is always very happy to give Richard Spencer a platform, and turn him into a celebrity boogyman, but he only has a mere 70k followers on social media, and even less on his youtube channel. They do this because they weaponize the mere existance of Richard Spencer to strawman all the opposition they face, and to scare all their gullible viewers that a white supremacist uprising is taking place.

It’s not dark and it’s not humour it’s just mean and nasty and it’s not the only example of your hate filled views and resentments of those you don’t like.

LOL you really are an incredibly shallow guy.

And again you follow the alt-right line in attacking Silicon Valley’s supposed ‘left wing bias’ it was a thing for your idol Milo. And it fits in with the same alt-right views you parrot – if it isn’t with you then it must be against you.

i would do so over their harassment of others, when they use politics, or for that matter, anything else, where they harass someone for using their own logic instead of pretending the same things as themselves or as they want others too.
much as i don't fundamentally want to make anyone feel bad about themselves, i do not require nor desire the company of belligerent/'retarded' alcoholic fascists.
they want their tyranny, well i'm glad a majority have unambiguously said no to it.
i've never actually blocked or unfriended anyone myself.
the closest i've come is to unwatch people who have blocked me.
this was on other sites then here.
but i really don't wish to attract people who try to recruit me to the perspectives of false equivalency.

Well I would be inclined to see past all fake blue hair, the misandrist marxism, and nostril gauges to find their inner beauty. But modern feminism just doesn't seem to have any.

I revel in all the personal attacks and hatred I receive from you and your disciples.

And you dare say Silicone Valley has no bias? LOL that's as naive as a rubberstamp republican saying that Fox News has no bias.

As I said you really do come across as an incredibly shallow guy.

Sorry but although I often find you funny at my core it’s not hate I feel it’s more about pity and sadness that someone that seems intelligent has been so brainwashed.

Do you know that one of the most popular books amongst the Silicon Valley elite is supposedly Atlas Shrugged.

I did think that story had political leanings. Just watched little bits an pieces of the movies though. Atlas Shrugged seemed to be heavily against some core concepts of democratic socialism. (I think I said that right...)

I believe its 6’s favourite book and he has said it is one of the main things in his life that has has shape his political viewpoint

As John Rogers has quipped –

"There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs"

Atlas Shrugged, bad book, bad theory

I'm glad you find me funny. However I disagree that you claim to convey no hatred. You've come up with some quite viscous names and generalizations on me, and like to convey to your followers that I'm a racist. While I don't believe you've ever called me a white supremacist yourself, your disciples have called me that on numerous occasions. To me, that's one of the nastiest most slanderous slurs you could call anyone. White supremacists are the lowest form of life there is. But I don't let it get to me though, as it is just a common knee-jerk reaction that a NPC tends to say when it hears an opinion it doesn't like. Hell, I was once called a racist because I said humans aren't warming the earth. The context of the insult didn't make any sense, but it made the offended individual feel better about himself.

HA! Your best retort you could come up with is a left-biased Gaurdian article on how Atlas Shrugged is popular in Silicone Valley because her work inspires CEO types.

How does this explain the shadowbanning of conservative accounts?
How does this explain that Trump can no longer block people who troll his social media?
How does this explain that the accounts of conservative activists can get banned for "hate speech," but doesn't apply to leftist activists when they say the exact phrases?
How does this explain the banning and deplatforming of Alex Jones?
How does this explain why conservative and libertarian figures often lose large amounts of followers for no reason?

I had a good laugh, but we done here brah.

Ironically the movie version of Atlas Shrugged performed so poorly at the box office that for the 2nd and 3rd releases they had to hire an entirely new cast of actors each time (I think a few people stuck around in the 2nd/3rd). The first was A list, second was B list... And so on.

So when I returned Atlas Shrugged I, II, & III to the library a week ago something was going on with the library's internet because of the fires. They couldn't properly check in all of my items; I had 7 movies. A few days later I was looking at my account for some reason and it says that I didn't return Atlas Shrugged. smh I wonder if it still says that or if they found them yet. Anyway... slightly off topic
