Maybe I did miss the point. Are you saying that, by having child porn illegal, those who have a desire based on fantasy repress it so that they eventually act out on it and, that if we allow them to embrace it through legal porn they won't act? If so, I still say that there is a divide between those who have fantasy and those who have the desire to act.

i see where your coming from and yea i really do want those kinds of things to stop. but i think that child porn is still a sexual act against children in its own sense.
then theres the option of it just stopping altogether which would be great.

Employing Lorena Bobbitt to deal with the assholes who need to sexually assault children would nip this problem in the bud (pun intended).

 

Yet... having the desire to act without acting is still well... not acting.

One guy at my work really wants to beat up this one guy who's spying on his wife... should he be punished for his desire to beat the guy up?
