Would you choose your kids looks over your partners?

I recall seeing a TV program where a doctor said when it comes to choosing a partner and having children, what we're really deciding subconsciously is what we want our children to look like. However I've noticed that mother nature likes to throw a serve ball or two when it comes to good looks. I have cousins who are quite frankly ugly but have the most beautiful children you could image. And I've seen the opposite when two good looking people have produced kids hit with the ugly stick. I guess it's all about the genes of two people being just right for inheriting good looks, but it got me thinking if you had a choice what would you choose?

 

if i chose a partner on what i wanted kids to look like i'd be accused of bestiality.
