Would you “Applaud” A Nazi for anything?

Canadien parliament in this video gives a Real WWII Nazi a standing ovation! I realize tit says this story’s from 6 months ago! But what were your thoughts on that? Even Vladimir Putin commented after that and said applauding a Nazi soldier for anything is just plain disgusting!!!

 

A Jewish Nazi?! Whose grandfather and great uncles fought the Nazis in W.W. II?! Will wonders never cease?! Must be the talk of the Russian troll farms! And Al Jazeera, too! You get your fake news from interesting sources. Actually, this lie has been the standard Russian excuse for its brutal invasion of Ukraine. Apparently, they're getting the message thru to some "useful idiots" right here in the USA !

For the part in war no, of course, and this if true was obviously a blunder ("if true" comment just because we are in a war time and there is always a lot of propaganda, with this not being relevant enough to waste time on checking it up).

For anything? That would be stupid. Specially if it is used in a lax manner not only for members of the N-S party, but the whole German military machinery, Italian fascists, Frankists and all other allies. It would take out half a very big chunk of population in Europe for that generation, and such a big chunk of population must have good things done too, just by the logic of big numbers.

 

Uh, we're not talking Germans. The post is Russian propaganda suggesting that Zelenski and the Ukrainians resisting Russian aggression are really Nazis.

 

I guess it is used that way, but in you previous post (about him being Jewish) it seems to be assuming that Zelenski is the one applauded?

It is a WWII veteran that was later supposedly discovered to have been in the nazi SS division.

Connecting anything from WWII to the present day and presenting Russian activities as a fight against Nazis is ridiculous cheap propaganda, but because they had the common enemy in Russia there were many Ukrainian collaborators with the Nazi regime, that is not false propaganda, so the narrative presented in the video is not implausible, though again did not check if true.

 

Much of the truth about WW11 was never written and the films produced glorified it even more.
The film "The Pianist" is a very moving story and a lot nearer to the truth.

WW1 was even worse. Between 1917 and 1918, many of the troops bogged down in trenches gave up killing each other and shared food and cigarettes. To satisfy the generals, they then went back to firing over each others heads.
I know that this was true, because my late father was there and following the war a German soldier kept in touch with him.
