well, yeah, when its recorded on a rock album..... the music sucks and listening to some dude munch on cereal is not my cup of tea......
'The Intergalactic Enterprise to Destroy Emperor Domitians Legions' - 1969 Features Nick Mason's only lead vocal 'Impromtu Dominix' and Roger Water's crazy spoken word 'Chassy and Cassy Go Mental'. If only! More - 1969 is the worst, simply because it has too many throw away tracks.
Well floyd is one of my most favorite bands so it is hard to choose a bad album. i haven't heard them all (heard everything but Obscured, Final Cut, Division Bell, MLOR) but if i have to choose i would say Atom Heart Mother. Not that it is a bad album, i love fat old sun& if, but that i haven't gotten into it that much. a few more listens and it will have a place to fit into. Jon
what the fuck are you talking about?? nick mason's only lead vocal?? he did the lead vocals on one of these days Im going to cut you into pieces...... is that an album you are talking about??????? because if it is, its really rare... Ive heard of everything from the floyd....... and the only things that I know of around 69-70 that isnt more, ummagumma or atom heart mother is the zabriskie point soundtrack and the picnic compilation with embryo..... other than those I havent heard what the fuck that is you posted there.
He also did vocals on Corporal Clegg. He did the response lines He won it in the war, in 1944. In orange, red, and blue He found it in the zoo. He's never been the same No one is to blame From Her Majesty the queen His boots were very clean.
i dunno i mean atom heart mother isnt my favorite album but i do like it. its cool if your not a fan i can understand that. all of pink floyd's almbums are so different its hard for people to like it all. im just one of those guys that likes alomst anything thats on. except R&B, waltzes, and country pop. so its cool
Everything after the Wall. And half of the Wall sucks too. The way I see it, the Wall was the turning point where Roger Waters had too much influence on the band's overall sound.
ahh I didnt know that....... I also looked it up in my another brick in the wall book, and it does say that nick mason did the spoken words in corporal clegg..... wow...
I don't care for The Final Cut at all. That is my least favorite. I think Roger Walters has too big of an ego. Listening to Floyd live, it seems as if things went downhill during the Wall tour, that's where I notice the least amount of energy and synergy between the band members. I blame the downfall of Pink Floyd on Roger Walter's overinflated ego. Pink Floyd is still one of the best, if not the best of all time. All of the different albums over the years, each unique to itself. The evolution of their music over how many years, and no matter what era we're in or what era of Floyd you listen to, it still sounds great, their music is seemingly timeless. And they're also one of the most creative and innovative bands, ever. There are a hell of a lot of good bands and musicians out there, I'm not dissing on anyone, I'm just saying, pound for pound, skill for skill, innovation for innovation, you name it, Pink Floyd pushed it further than anyone.
Well, Roger Waters did have to be a bit egocentric towards the end of Pink Floyd. I definately wish that he gave the other members a lot more room to shine. I love the guy, though, when he actually teamed up with the others, he was completely fantastic. He does good live shows today, as well.
lol, mostly i love Waters' trademark scream! anyone here seen/heard the opera he was doing? i bet that's some fantastic work!
