Not sure if I believe this one. If it happened at one restaurant I'd say it was done purposely, but two restaurants makes me think it's a hoax. If so I hope charges are filed against those that made the complaints. Worms Found in Food at Two Local McDonald's By The Associated Press MAYFIELD, KY - At least two people have reported finding worms in food from McDonald's restaurants in Mayfield and Draffenville. Mayfield resident Madison Stephens tells WPSD-TV that she visited the local McDonald's on Sunday and purchased food for her and her 1-year-old son. She says that as she was about to bite into her hamburger, a live worm fell out. At the McDonald's in Draffenville, Lacey Jo Lovett says she also found a worm in her burger on Tuesday. Stephens says she contacted McDonald's about the incident, and they sent her a $10 gift card. McDonald's spokesman Michael Love says in a statement that the company is investigating and will "take all appropriate measures to resolve the matter." http://www.westkentuckystar.com/News/Local-Regional/Western-Kentucky/Worms-Found-in-Food-at-Two-Local-McDonald-s.aspx
First McDonald’s was sued over excessively hot coffee Then a singer sued McDonald's for ruining her voice after eating a sandwich Then a Woman Claimed She Found Glass Inside her McDonald's Sandwich Then McDonald’s Got Sued Over Their New Mozzarella Sticks Now Worms found in the Burgers ……………..can you say settlement? yeah, i'm not buying this one. a dead worm, maybe. but a live worm basically would have to be put into the sandwich intentionally as they are giving it to the customer. which i could see; i had plenty of customers that deserved to eat worms when i worked in food. but in two separate locations? doesn't seem likely.
i found a small one at an arby's once. it was well cooked and tasted ok, so i ate it. it was kind of tiny though.
the origeonal recipie deep fried rat at the colonal chicken place, i guess it was fifteen or so years ago, there were pictures. it was one of the pieces in a 20 (or however many) piece (large) bucket.
This incident? http://www.today.com/money/kfc-lab-test-confirms-deep-fried-rat-actually-chicken-t27831 I don't eat much meat, but the fact that KFC tastes so good, had it really been a rat, I'd probably like KFC fried rat, lol.
One the one hand, I agree with ImInMyUnderwear. It does sound suspect. On the other hand, a $10 gift card? Come on.
Restaurant operator responds to claims of worms in burgers MAYFIELD, Ky. — A McDonald's franchisee says he's been unable to substantiate claims by two customers who reported finding worms in food at the fast-food chain's restaurants in two Kentucky communities. Michael Love, owner-operator of the two restaurants, says inspections of the restaurants by health officials did not uncover any of the problems raised by the customers. ‘The McWorm Meal” Coming soon to a McDonald's near you? Touche, But you could also argue that the worms are more nutritious than the McDonalds food they were found in.
theres one type of worm you can buy from the street stalls in Vietnam, forget the name but they are only about 1cm long and golden brown, but they are really really yummy, like fried peanut butter Other grosser bugs you can buy I wont touch, but those ones, I delved quite a few times
