World War III?

Jesus was God in the flesh. A stupid college course isn't going to teach that.


Maybe it's just me, but I get excited when I see prophecy being fulfilled.

 

I ignore the archeological evidence because ALL the archeological evidence you talk about comes from ONE guy, ROn Wyatt. He claims to have found the ark of the covenant and tested Christs blood and the DNA proved he was born of a virgin....now that's just crazy. He also claims to have found Noah's Ark, Christ's crucifixion spot, his burial spot, etc...now that seems just a bit shady to me. Do a google search on Ron Wyatt and you will find many christian groups that have discredited him, and claim that he has done more to hurt the religion then help. I've done them, and posted the info on other threads, if you want to look it up.

And it is typical of a christian to say "you have to read the book before you talk about it..." Well I have news for you. I HAVE read the book. Multiple times. I have studied it quite thuroughly. I know quite a lot about the Bible. Just because I don't take it literally doesn't mean I haven't read it. I understand the bible very well, and I understand the christian point of view very well. I have 12 years of Bible study and 10 years at a baptist school under my belt. Not to mention years of study of the history of religion. I was raised by fundamentalists. I know everything you could possibly say to argue your view on christianity. I have heard it all.

Anyway, since this is an "America Attacks" forum, and has nothing to do with your god, this type of conversation should be going on in the christianity forum. But I have already posted all my evidence that your babylon is Rome, and that Ron Wyatt was taking advantage of trusting christians. ANd I am tired of repeating myself (I don't know how you can do it all the time, campbell).

 

I thought the ‘America Attacks’ forum was one of the political forums not a place to discuss fairy tales?

The thing is that all religion are based on belief which is the bypassing of the rational in favour of the comfort of the irrational.

To me a belief in a god is no different than believing in Santa Claus or the fairies but if someone needs that kind of crutch it’s ok I suppose although it seems a bit sad to me really. What I do care about is when these deluded people try and influence the rational world with there kooky irrational beliefs.

If you wish to discuss real things please stay if not why not find another forum to preach your rubbish.

 

You say Jesus was God's Son? Well I believe that but why should you, just because He said he was. A lot of people say their God, so why do you believe Jesus was? And if the bible is not all true, maybe the story about Jesus is not true either. Who is to say what is true or what is false, you? God can make the universe but He can't get His book right. Just because a book states that Jesus died for our sins. You can go into any mental ward today and find at least one person today who will tell you the same thing, why don't you believe them. Christians who know the bible no the answers to these questions, and Christ truth is verified by the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies.

 

I thought this was about world war 3 happening, not a discussion of fables that you have to be mentally deficient to take literally.

You guys would have to knock yourself unconcious to actually see a gate with St. Peter waitng with a checklist...or angels coming down with trumpets....

Jesus was the son of God I don't understand where you, (prolly southern baptist like people) get this confused. If jesus was God in the flesh, why when satan was testing him did he fall down and cry to his father. (God, not himself) Did he always pray to himself? No, that would make him a satanist acctually. Get real. I understand you are a christian, and you have a right to your beliefs, but to insult someone's education because it disagrees with your bible thumping ways is cheap and lame.

But i forgot, since you attend church every sunday that gives you some sort of higher education that makes college degrees inferior...You are the final word on the Word of God, YOUR interpretation is the only correct one out of thousands of years of interpretations huh...

Sorry to everyone if my posts on this thread are getting bitchy, but I have heard enough hellfire and doom from christians here to last me a lifetime. The most closed-minded, irrational, judgemental, holier than thou people I know are christians, and from this forum it seems to be no different. I understand that these are the poorest examples of people of the religion, but they are also the loudest, so they are generally the ones we have to hear all the time.

You have a college degree in religion and you don't even understand the trinity.

There are three parts to the Trinity: The Father/ The Son/ The Holy Spirit ....ALL different parts but the same as a whole.

Similar to an atom... there is a neutron, proton and electron-all different but together make one.

I wasn't insulting his education, I was insulting the institute of organized theological study. Theology classes can only teach you about the idea of religion. There is a big difference between church and school. Theology is a course based on religious history, not spiritual truth. He had made the comment that Jesus was God's son, followed by the fact that he has a degree in Theology. Therefore, these Theology classes are giving a false concept of Christianity. Jesus is not just simply, God's son". But that is what this course is teaching. Hence, why I said, "stupid college courses". No, I don't think all college courses are stupid, as I am a student.

 

If you call a fairy tale "scientific proof that has evidence backing it."
