The rangers lineup is freaken stacked this year. and last year.

 

They get a huge trophy to like every toher sport. And they all get banners. The angels are my favorite team and it would make me angry when there playing them on opening day to see them raising it...

also, most people i have met from st louis have been real huge pricks....another reason to dislike cards.

st louis as a city is pretty lame and they boast about having 'the worlds longest strip mall' ...the most asinine thing i've ever seen.

Sooo, I don't follow sports really.

I don't give a flying shit doodle who wins the world series.

I just need it known-in public-that I am no longer a Red Sox fan (subject to change if they lose the bitchiness next year). I am now a Yankees fan. (what better way to get back at the Sox than to love their rival?! I'm shmahhht).

I love the Celtics (although, they are becoming bitches)
I love the Bruins (definitely not bitches. I'd probably fuck every Bruin ever to exist)
I love the Patriots (when they aren't being bitches, too)

The rangers are hungry for it, and I appreciate that Bud Selig has yet to be able to manipulate the league to the point that the Brewers get there. I pull for the Rangers this year because they won their division and the cardinals didnt. A team that is second place in a division shouldnt even get a chance to lay claim to being the best team.

Plus, Im a cubs fan so I dont wanna see the Cards get anything! hahaha

Either way it was nice to watch the Yanks and RedSox not make it, I get a little tired of the way Fox thinks the whole world only wants to see that matchup. Fox blows!

boston will find out what Carl Crawford is really able to do next year, while its no solace this year. Alot was made about his numbers this year but I think hes alot better player and will come around very nicely.

I dont see how Brian Cashman can talk about driving Carls price up while at the same time exiting the playoffs early with Andruw Jones on the roster. Even Boston owner Henry has thrown CC under the bus, if hes that down on Crawford the Sox should just include him in the Theo Epstein deal. Send Lackey and any other pitchers, the Cubbies need the help!

 

I'm basically played out as far as pro sports is concerned anyway after discovering some of the ways they're generating revenue to fund the money addictions and egos addressed by skyrocketing salaries that ticket and merchandising revenue can no longer service so whether or not Boston goes down in flames makes no difference to me. For the longest time I used to bitch and whine about how New York bought their championships but a few years ago I discovered that the Sux were basically trying to do the same thing. That's okay in good economic times but when main street is struggling to make ends meet it makes no social sense to attach sports fees to bare basic cable services for instance in funding something promoted as the national pastime that churns out multimillionaire train wrecks as role models... after all the player IS the commodity.

I had wondered why my limited basic TV package kept incrementally rising after analog over-the-air television went digital and discovered that the real reason WASN'T to give us a better signal. BIG surprise there.

I follow through whatever FREE media I have at my disposal and if that goes away- boo-fucking-hoo.

As for the Whirled Series- there will not be a loser as long as the checks do not bounce.
