BS - Jesus plainly tells us in Matthew 24: “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away. 36“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. 37“For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. 38“For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be. 40“Then there will be two men in the field; one will be taken and one will be left. 41“Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one will be left. How many preachers have preached the imminent coming of Christ and been disappointed? Here is 1: October 22, 1844 ------numerous interpretations of prophecy yielding the year 1843 The sun rose on the morning of October 22 like any other day, and October 22 passed without incident, resulting in feelings of disappointment among many Millerites. Henry Emmons, a Millerite, later wrote, “I waited all Tuesday [October 22] and dear Jesus did not come;– I waited all the forenoon of Wednesday, and was well in body as I ever was, but after 12 o’clock I began to feel faint, and before dark I needed someone to help me up to my chamber, as my natural strength was leaving me very fast, and I lay prostrate for 2 days without any pain– sick with disappointment.”[5] Miller continued to wait for the second coming of Jesus Christ until his death in 1849. Christ will come when you DO NOT expect him. Live like he is coming tomorrow - but prediction is futile. There have always been earthquakes, wars, famines, plagues etc. etc and there is always someone saying the time is here.
what the hell are you talking about? please refer to me the post where I posted the date to the End of the world?
I apologize if I misquoted or misunderstood the jest of your comments. I become really frustrated at all the talk of "the end is near, just look at the signs". Many dates are tossed around, including 2012. Even though a particular minute, day, or year may not be mentioned - the insinuation is there that signs show the coming of Christ is immanent. My point is - the signs have been there since the time of the apostles - and we are still here, toiling away. Again - forgive me if I misinterpret your thoughts. I did not mean to offend you. Afterthought - I find it interesting that Christ talked about the fact that many will not die before these things come to pass - perhaps we misinterpret.
Great video Michael is on the SPOT with this one! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2gWy9nLN5JU"]YouTube- Michael Savage on Bilderberg Meeting and New World Order 6.7.2010
Isn't this referring to nobody except the Father knowing the day that the Heaven and earth will pass away? It might not be referring to the second coming of Jesus and the Kingdom of Heaven. Scripture goes to great lengths to give indications and information to tell us when Jesus will return. Scripture also tells us that there are no idle words in the Bible. So unless you think that the enormous amount of details provided in scripture for Jesus's return are idle and not meant to be figured out then the conclusion that we aren't supposed to know doesn't hold up IMO.

Mat 24:12 And because iniquity [lawlessness] shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 2 Pet 2:1 [NIV] But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them--bringing swift destruction on themselves. 2 Pet 2:2 [NIV] Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. 2 Pet 2:3 [NIV] In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping. 1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

:willy_nilly::willy_nilly:What a crock - "Religious" zealots have been predicting the immanent end since far before the time of Christ. Watchtower magazine predicted: "The year 1925 is a date definitely and clearly marked in the Scriptures, On 1835-FEB-14, Joseph Smith, the founder of the Mormon church, attended a meeting of church leaders. He said that the meeting had been called because God had commanded it. He announced that Jesus would return within 56 years Ellen White, founder of the Seven Day Adventists movement, made many predictions of the timing of the end of the world. All failed. On 1850-JUN-27 she prophesied that only a few months remained before the end. She wrote: "My accompanying angel said, 'Time is almost finished. Get ready, get ready, get ready.' ...now time is almost finished...and what we have been years learning, they will have to learn in a few months." 1843-MAR-21: William Miller, founder of the Millerite movement, predicted that Jesus would come on this date. A very large number of Christians accepted his prophecy. 1844-OCT-22: When Jesus did not return, Miller predicted this new date. In an event which is now called "The Great Disappointment," many Christians sold their property and possessions, quit their jobs and prepared themselves for the second coming. Nothing happened; the day came and went without incident. Disasters??? We ain't seen disasters!! Black Death - 1300 - 1700 -- 100,000,000 dead Spanish Flu - 1918 - 1920 -- 75,000,000 dead Chinese Floods of 1931 - 2,000,000 dead Small Pox - 300,000,000 Antioch earthquake of 526 - 500,000 dead. The sky is falling, the sky is falling !!!!! :willy_nilly::willy_nilly:
Ahhhh - thanks for the neg rep man. I have 2 in the last 2 years - both from you. Odd I think. I suppose that anyone who does not toe your line gets a neg rep - there is no room for discussion or explanation. Being a Christian, a deacon, a sunday school teacher and having read the scripture completely more than once, I find "Sanctuary" a strange environment. The negativity and lack of acceptance of other opinions amazes me within the context of being "Christian".
If the measure we give is the measure we get then the only thing that can be absent is what we have not given. We can restore insanity with sanity. We can transcend the appearance of lack of acceptance with total acceptance. Infinite patience brings immediate results. We can restore sanctity to these proceedings at any instant if we indulge our own holiness and share that with each other.
go through the thread and you'll see how I sure I covered the subject of doomsday prediction days here or in another thread in Santuary.
Why sould Christians accept other (or wrong) opinions. If someone came here saying that Jesus was definitly not a real person, why would a Christian accept that opinion as a valid opinion. Heck, as a scholar (Christian aside), I think that opinion does not deserve accepting, at least in the sense that I will debate you tooth and nail over it. Being a Christian does not mean being a pushover, "nice guy", accepting of everyone, tolerant of everyone, et cetera. St Francis of Assisi is one whom most can accept as a holy person, and even then he wrote this in one of his more famous Canticles: Praised be You, my Lord through Sister Death, from whom no-one living can escape. Woe to those who die in mortal sin! Blessed are they She finds doing Your Will. No second death can do them harm.
