Well to be honest, from what I have seen so far, only Spain ,Germany and Italy have done really well.


Also, I think that the 2006 World Cup has been a bit rubbish, and quite boring to watch, and I thought that the 2002 World Cup was a lot better and entertaining.

Beckham was brilliant in 2002, and is now a shadow of the player he was. Most of the French players are just old, past-it, over-the-hill and living off their past reputations.

Spain, Germany and Italy have made an impressive start to the competition, and apart from them three teams, it has been quite dire.

The music to the World Cup on both BBC and ITV is crap.
In 2002, the BBC had a great theme tune to the World Cup, and the ITV one was better as well.

I personally am not bothered who wins it in 2006, because it has been really crap this year.

England 2 Trinidad and Tabago 0 ......... We were totally unconvincing today as we were against Paraguay...still, we have definitely qualified so job done for us.

But Rooney came on as a sub and looked good...Aaron Lennon was excellent on the right wing and should be given a first team spot for sure. I know now why my father ( A tottenham supporter) has been going on about him now!

Still we need to seriously get it together if we are going to challenge teams like Brazil and Argentina...We do have the quality, Gerrard, Rooney, Lampard, Terry to name a few, but we just don't seem to be utilising it...yet

usa 1 italy 1...half...I think both sides have lost a man at this point, 10 on 10. I hope the usa can come throgh...but even if they won, they would have to beat ghana and hope the czechs tie italy to have any hope.

 

wow, down a man for most of the 2nd half and they tie the match, 1-1. I am impressed with USAs team today. They showed some guts. we need to hope that italy beats a hobbled czech team (one of the best in the world anyways) and the US can stun Ghana. Ghana is a pretty damn good team!

 

yeah good result for the usa " a draw against one of the most fancied teams in the world cup.

 

have"nt seen argentina as of yet " did"nt they beat someone 6-0 .......can"t believe i"m missin the great games .

 

I say s&m in hopes that you know what I mean, because I can't spell. serbia and something...3-0 at the half, 3 more goals in the last 10 minutes.

Italy/USA was one of the best games I have seen, not even being biased. and the ivory coast played in to amazing games with the netherland and...gosh can't remember.

 

Yeah, they whooped Serbia & Montenegro 6 - 0, but it was the performance more than anything, just scintillating. They were the same against the Ivory Coast. I believe Argentina are all round better than Brazil, and they are now my pic for the World Cup.

 

To be honest, I think that the World Cup songs that England bring out are a load of crap, but this new one that I watched on a music channel last night was called:
"Who do you think you are kidding Jurgen Klinsmann?"

And it was quite good, and it was the first time that I had ever saw it.
