    Hello,

are you sure? Hmm, they do something wrong I guess ;).

The local branch of a bank uses a hipster for advertising. They even loaded an image of him onto the ATMs. Personally I don't know a hipster, but I have to confess that they all look very similar somehow. One can stroll the shopping promenade and three or four times there is 'that guy from the bank's ad', but he isn't. Other people seem to have the same problem, so the ad works as intended ;).

    Regards

That's what I'm saying!! It's creeping me right out... Everyone wants to look the same. I guess I've reached that age where guys in my age group are like "whelp, this is what adults wear" and they put on their uniform and never take it off again. It's sad and just... boring... I'm probably putting a lot of judgement on something they probably don't even think about before they leave the house, but I dunno. I worry it indicates a lack of passion and an over-concern for what other people think.

Then again, this could all be a fabrication from my defense mechanism that I have put in place to cope with a fear of commitment. Or something, lol...

    Hello,

well, I don't know what there reasons are, maybe a little bit of everything. But there is hope. As we see, hipsters are mainstream now, they are even used by uptide industries, like banking and insurance companies, for advertising. I think the subculture (is it one?) is behind its peek for this season and something new or something recycled is on the way.

I attended a technical conference recently, the average age was around 30, maybe a bit more. I can't remember seeing hipsters there, but people with shorts and a tee (except me ;)). So they have their own kind of 'uniform' as it seems.

    There is no escape ;).

    Regards
    Gyro

well its red panda day and talk like a pirate day. and i know i don't want to look like everyone else. unless they're a red panda with green fur instead of red.
or a human sized green alien anthro cat. well even then, i'd have some obvious variation.

World Beard Day: the true 'longest day'.

They're freaking everywhere. It is clearly the newest trend. Together with the male bun/mini ponytail.
