Hello, yeah, for the first few times visiting a new customer I usually wear a suit. Then piece by piece the tie goes off, the full suit goes off and so on. I wear button up shirts every day, so that's no problem . You can make a good impression without a suit I think. Regards Gyro
Alcoholic beverages were a necessity to sail the cape, because fresh water would turn bad after awhile I dislike poloshirts to the same extent as ties. Button ups without ties are pretty bearable (to me).
polo shirts are alright as long as they are a nice light material. i always used to hate them, but recently i came into possession of a couple that are really comfortable. saturdays aren't a shaving day for me. i do monday/wednesday/friday. but then, i always have a beard; the shaving is just around the edges so i look like a sexy bearded guy instead of a terrorist.
Geez, there are some dumb World days The world needs attention drawn to beards on a particluar day does it, in case we all like forget about them?
At my age, the white hairs make me somewhere between a prospector, a biblical prophet and Santa Claus.
the little town i grew up in, used to have wiskarino day. once a year. i think it may have been on july 1st, or maybe june. they actually had some silly ordinance that it was unlawful to shave on that day. (this was actually some kind of redneck thing, ten years BEFORE the hippies came along) well you see, it was a little town up in the mountains and it was all about the prospectors and the gold rush and all that.
i dont like mine long and scruffy but lately ive been letting it go a lot longer than usual to see if maybe ill get used to it i think it looks better long but i get too itchy
that's sort of the way i am. i like seeing hair long. it makes humans look less ugly that way. but i don't find wearing it so physically comfortable, and i refuse to be physically uncomfortable just to prove a point or look a particular way. i cultivate the fuzz under my nose though, or try to, its always been fine and slower to grow then elsewhere, and i like the idea of how it would look if the ends would grow longer and faster, but they don't.
I miss the sinister and sexy goatee. Don't see many of those anymore. Bushy mountain men as far as the eye can see these days... Especially in the Portland area, otherwise known as hipster/lumbersexual central. I'm not here to shame anyone. Do what you do. Just not super into it. Guess it's good I'm not dating right now, lol.
check the pizza places. i worked for two major pizza chains a while back, and both had the exact same shaving rules: sideburns and goatees were fine, as long as you shave your cheeks. so a lot of people in those chains have goatees. personally, i think goatees make you look like a huge douchebag, so i was always clean shaven during that time. and i've had a beard since i left, partially because i like it and probably in part because i was forced to shave for so long that i'm still kind of rebelling.
Hello, you might not be dating right now, but what is with the hipsters, uhm mountain men? I bet they have to queue at your door step . Regards Gyro
I thought there was a difference between the 'Hipster" and the 'mountain man' look. Hipsters are 'trendy' bearded men. Hair products do not belong on/in beards. Hipsters are like ants, everywhere.
Lol no, no line outside my door (though I'm not saying I don't occasionally get asked). I'm saying perhaps when I'm ready to get back on the horse, the fad will have passed. They just all look the same and I don't know if they're honestly just happy they don't have to shave anymore (understandable) or if they're all trying really hard to chase the trend and all look the same (gross). I'd much rather be with someone who is comfortable being themselves and dressing the way they like. Girls in the city all look totally different, but the guys all look like clones. It makes me wonder if they all think the same too.
