I try and mix it up:- Some of:- heavy weights/resistance/plyometrics Running/intervals/sometimes sprints martial arts -western+traditional Chinese football (not so much at the moment tho). Generally its built around my martial arts. But sometimes, I'll base it around football or weights/work. I always think, if you aren't enjoying your programme/looking forward to it, change it.
I really need to get back into a good work out routine. Right now I take a couple of long walks or hikes a week, I do random ballet dancing around the house when I'm cleaning or cooking every day (which gives surprisingly good leg results!) and I do yoga when I can find the time...which means I often find myself busting out some yoga positions in random places like the bathroom at work.
I play indoor basketball with myself when I pretend to be real basketball players and I play on an indoor hoop, and each player has 34 seconds to put up as many points as he can (you hit a three if your feet are behind the flowerpot) and then the one with the most points wins.... in a bracket setting. It's the best workout I've ever had.
