We don't seem to have that issue here (muslims being afraid to proclaim their religion). 9/11 was also happily never that influential in the Netherlands (and most likely most of mainland Europe) where it comes to such things.
I usually have a short-day on Saturdays. Like today I have to do one small job, I could work on another two but it's unlikely. I'm switching up my schedule in the new year though because it makes a lot of sense for me to work on the weekends, with what I do. Not the writing, writing can be done at anytime, but there's a good writing community that happens on Saturday mornings that contributes to a spike in productivity for me, so I typically like being a part of that, it's not necessity though. Also if I have some work I didn't get to during the week, I tend to finish it on Saturdays.
Right after 9/11 Muslims over here had good reason to be afraid of Americans, and there is still a lot of disdain for Muslims but not as bad as it was then to where they were afraid to admit their religion.
I'm sure you know more about this than I, but Bosnia(Bosnia and Herzegovina) is a nation, why do you say that Bosnian isn't a nationality? Don't you mean not an ethnic group?
As for me, I work some Saturdays if I wan't overtime, which I'll probably do all month in January to finish up paying for the semester of school. But I'm not working again till the 6th of January, and I'm also learning nothing! :sunny:
I remember this one time at school I had to go in on a Saturday because I left my bracelet in my locker. It was terrible. ='[
I know. But I live one town west of Ames. No bad neighborhoods here. In fact, my daughter spent the night at a friends house and didn't have a key in this morning (if she got back before we woke up) so we just left the door unlocked for her. Hell, I used to leave my keys in the ignition of my car all night too. But I wouldn't do any of that around Drake though.
I leave my door unlocked a lot and I live on the east side. We have actually gone to a friends house for about 8 hours and left our door wide open on accident. I didn't even think twice when I got home. Never crossed my mind that someone would have broken in. The east side has a bad reputation but I wouldn't live anywhere else. It has made me the tough bitch I am today and I feel totally safe here amongst my people. Drake area??? not so much. It's find during the day but I wouldn't hang out over there anymore at night. I listen to the police scanner too much now to know where the crime happens.
