I'm glad I don't live in a place like that. :) Pretty safe in my neck of the woods.

Bosnians are a bunch of pussies to me, just crazy either way. Plus I live at the beach and never go over there.

Interesting fact, I live in the biggest city (758 square miles) in the contiguous US. So it's more like they live in a different city than me even though it's all considered one city.

So how do you know they are like that if you never go there?

Bosnian is just the english name of a Bosniak. We call them bosniƫrs officially.

edit: I'm sorry, I guess I should have checked first before assuming the obvious (but wrong :p): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bosniaks
But I think it is safe to assume deviate means immigrants from Bosnia!....? :p

And a UK variety, too (uttered by, well, certain types of people)
Here they are not 'cheap workers' they are workers who work within min' wageish jobs and go where the work is.
Don't you have a min' wage?

Obviously most people from mainland Europe are Eastern Europeans to me.

I used to live there. I've worked with many, dealt with some when I was younger and stupid, grew up around many of them in DC as well. Apart from that it's common knowledge over here that they are a group of loose cannons.

Go hang out by drake. That's where Hairy Marys was and my guy friends would never let me walk to my car by myself at night when I left. I know it's not as bad as some places but still not entirely safe.

They say they are Bosnian, so I'm just going by what they say. Or they something like I from Bosnia. So who knows. I'm assuming Bosniaks is more of a group that might extend into other borders?

The term Bosniak was never used until the end of the war.
Bosniaks are Bosnian Muslims. They sometimes call themselves Bosnian. But officially, Bosnian isn't a nationality.
Bosnian Croats and Bosnian Serbs will almost never call themselves Bosnian, but Croatian or Serbian.

Used to work on Saturdays just after I left university. Then I used to work a part of Sat, when I was setting up my business.

Nowadays, I might sometimes do some paperwork/reading/stuff but generally I think "stuff it, I'm sure I got enough done Mon- Fri". So Sat is a going out and recreation day.

They might just say bosnian in some cases in the netherlands (and perhaps US too) to make it easier. None of the 'bosnians' I've met in the netherlands were muslim.

Ah ok, yeah that is completely right. When I worked at a big car dealership up north there were a group of them who called themselves Serbians. They were basically white Muslims. And they were crazy too. Someone would bring up something say political, ask one of their opinion, and you'd hear something like.. 'I do not speak the politics, I kill a man over politics'

Come to think of it I never heard anyone up there say they were 'Bosnian'. One of my sisters best friends growing up was in a family of Croatians. They had been misplaced because of the war.

Not sure why the ones say Bosnian, but I've heard it more than once. Maybe they figure that it's easier to just say that.

Hahaha, yeah, I've heard that one before. I can't blame them though, people are still very sensitive.

True but the only reason I knew these guys were muslims was because some christian guys were like hey you know those guy are from bosnia right? ..they're probably muslims. This was right after 9/11. I was pretty tight with them so I went and asked them, and they said yeah but they almost seemed afraid to say so.
