Well a lot depends on how much money you have stashed away. If you can afford it, time between jobs can mean an awesome and very long vacation somewhere. I was able to afford a week between my last job change and it remains one of the highlights of my life. I think the new company got a better person out of me than they would have if I had just stepped right into the new slot with no time off.
yep, works that way for more often than not. although a good worker is much more likely to climb the ladder than get hired in at a decent position at a different company. outside hiring is all about who can suck the best dick in the interview.
lol I saw the manager who I first made this thread about today. First time we've seen each other in like almost 2 years. Had a little chat
could you summarize the situation so that i don't have to read all 142 posts to figure out what is going on?
I am glad I had some of those managers I mentioned in this thread years ago. They kinda made me grow thicker skin and be able to stand up for myself. I had to say goodbye to another manager yesterday which was kind of bittersweet and will be saying Hello to a new one today. I actually made it to a management position but it wasnt all that its cracked up to be, at least not the location I was at. Anyways, hope some of yall who read this thread from the beginning got some good laughs or advice out of it I know I sure got some good advice
