Don't be so worried about the other people. When you think about it, think about your boss transferring there and her reasons. She obviously likes it there and thinks you'd be good there so I think she has high hopes for you.

haha well her reason for transferring is because they offered her more money. Im kinda glad she transferred though because at the one we worked at she was the nicest of the managers, the other ones didnt really respect her.

 

I really hope you go for it RS, you need to money plan and simple plus you know you'll be hired by a manager whom you respect and who respects you. You'll most likely make new friends at the new place. Now make dat $$ homie! :afro:

One thing i forgot to mention was that i kinda dont wanna get drug tested because well ummmmmmm ill fail it. Idk if ill have to take one though. her exact words to me were "ill hire you right away" but im not sure

 

Not sure what's in store for you (no pun intended), but if this is not a "new hire" but a simple transfer within the company you wouldn't expect a test would you? I have no idea...

According to Passyourdrugtest.com if they take a urine sample, it really depends but with most drugs, a few days to a week will do it.
Can you stay clean that long? Hope you are not hooked on anything, cause life is better without that monkey on your back.

Hair samples all seem to retain "chemicals" for 90 days, but not sure if you are faced with that. Never happened to me.

We all know people who smoke a little pot now and then but in your situation, these retail places would treat positive test results for pot the same way they treat something much stronger. I know California is very lax about "medical" marijuana, but these big box stores are national and international companies with their own little kingdoms and their own rules as far as their employees are concerned.

You got a lotta stuff to think through, but I hope you can make that transfer happen. Sounds like way less stress for you. Good luck!

 

yea i just smoke a little marijuana here and there. If i did transfer it would be in a week or so and that wouldnt be enough time to get clean. But your probably right its just a transfer so i probably wont have to

 

I'd add my vote to the switch. Working for a bitch (or a bastard) of a boss who makes your life a misery couldn't possibly compensate for having buddies where you work. For one they could get fired anyway, also you can keep in touch by other means. I'm sure you'll make new friends at the new place...

 

By the way, human resource people with some companies will Google your name and look you up on Facebook to see what "secrets" you tell your friends.

Well ive decided im going to text my current manager today and ask her what her fucking problem is and see if this 10 hours a week bull shit is gonna continue or if im gonna get more hours. If she acts like a bitch and gives me and lip than im gone

 

If you get fired for speaking your mind (or texting it), you won't be able to transfer to the manager who treated you fairly.

She cut your hours (I think) to make you so miserable that you'd quit or lose your temper and get fired.

Quitting makes it soooo much easier for a retail manager. To fire you, she'd have to go through a lot of red tape and procedures. That's why she's hoping you will take the bait and leave on your own.
