How are you required to dress at work, if you work? Business attire, uniform, jeans and t's? Would you prefer for the requirements to be different? Do you spend much money on mainting your work wardrobe?
casual dresswear. i usually wear h&m work pants and a blue, white or black polo. and sperrys for my feet. I like our dress code. doesnt bother me.
Hello, usually I wear a pair of black jeans and a shirt if I'm at the HQ. If I'm at a customer's site I wear a suit. My company does not have a formal dress code. But my boss expects me to look decent, esp. if the customer is a bank or an insurance company. Regards Gyro
I will answer my own question: My employer requires us to be business casual. I am actually changing jobs at the moment, but my new employer also requires business casual attire. I don't mind business casual dress. My student loans are still kicking my bank account's ass, so I generally find myself buying from Dillard's clearance or Target for most of my work wardrobe.
Work requires a dress code of:- Shirt (No t-shirts, sports shirt) Trousers (No jeans, No shorts) Shoes (No trainers) = OK for No sox though, oh, and I slip into Crocs once in the door (well I have on hand on 'technically' This being the case, I tend to go for:- Blue shirt, Black Trousers = Basic work attire (easy to pick out from wardrobe)
I make my own dress code so I wear jeans a lot with a nice shirt or sweater. Sometimes I'll wear sundresses in the summer. I wear basically whatever I want but I don't wear tshirts or hoodies to work.
I have to dress up when I'm going out to meet with business clients. When I'm hanging around the office all day, I can wear whatever I want. That's the best arrangement I can hope for.
Dress pants, dress shoes, collared shirt. Often a blazer and I sometimes complete it with a tie. Full suit.
As for my work attire, when I get an acting gig, I wear whatever wardrobe department puts me in, which is usually 'hipster attire' or 'college attire.' Unless I'm playing something more specific.
my boss never really gave any requirements, although i assume if i showed up looking like shit he would probably say something. basically what i wear depends on what i'm doing. more often than anything else it's jeans, a staff tshirt and my name tag. i have one work dress shirt for more formal occasions. if i'm doing something active, or spending a lot of time in the hot pool area or out at the beach, i'll wear gym shorts. if i'm actually in the pool, obviously it's a bathing suit. if i'm doing maintenance stuff, crappier jeans, non-work tshirt, and work boots. i guess that sums up the situations i find myself in most, although it looks like i'll be working outside a decent amount this spring so i'll probably have to figure something out for that too.
What I want, I work on contracts and I don't dress up for them. Jeans usually or nice looking sweats, shorts in summer but not the really short ones when signing a contract, haha. I had to wear a uniform when I was in the military and casual wear but not jeans at one place I worked. When I was working on machines and forklifts it was coveralls which was ok because it kept our clothes clean, in summer most of us wore the coveralls with nothing underneath. Ya had to watch it tho, the side pockets would show stuff if you move the right or wrong way.
i just wear whatever i want ive learned that shorts and sandals suck for welding and plasma cutting ... underwear is also a good idea if i know ill be laying under a car in shorts with the customer hanging around
Jeans and a work-provided t-shirt. The owner (my boss) isn't too strict on dress code, he doesn't really even require you wear the company t-shirt, but I cook more often than not and I tend to get food on my shirt , so I'd rather ruin a work shirt than a t-shirt I actually care about. We're also allowed to wear shorts if we want, so I'm going to look for some good long basketball shorts for hotter weather.
