I can understand learning a new word or even meeting a person with a unique name and then later that week, you might here that name in a movie and then meet another person with that name...that happens to me too. But I would say, it's because we're more aware of that term or name now and pay attention to it now. Like, it has more meaning now if a person in your life has that name and so you will notice it more around you... What I experience is instantaneously though. Maybe it's the same thing though.
