***EDIT: To avoid mass confusion: it's not MY car nor am I the person in the pics. It's just copied/paste from a website (see link below the pics)!!****

    Proceeding with the original post:

Ok.. I have this thing for cars. I know, I'm a girl and everything.. but I have a huge thing for certain cars. This is one of them *drool* :

At this point Alexi is changing so quickly that it is difficult to keep up current pictures of her configuration on the net. These are the most recent though. Be sure to check out the pictures of her interior here

Here it is! The new flamethrower at nearly full capacity! Bear in mind that this is with the use of an expansion chamber but with only 3/8 inch pipe. I am going to go up to 3/4 inch or possibly 1 inch pipe to see if I can get a little better performance. Eventually the entire perimeter of the roof will be lined with piping that will emit a dense ring of flames around the entire edge of the roof.

Operating the flame manually. Incidentally, pictures of Alexi's interior are online now, click here!

This was Alexi in the beginning, before she was even named Alexi.

    Yours truly outside of Alexi.

Yes, you are seeing this correctly, this is the preliminary stages of Alexi's flamethrower. This is merely the pilot light for the flamethrower itself. Originally I wanted the biggest flame ever on a portable device...then, well, I learned about some of the shit they pull at Burning Man called the ICP's, these are massive flamethrowers that run through 30 gallons of kerosene per second and are extraordinarily dangerous. So then I started thinking "Well, maybe I'll just be happy with my moderately sized flame for now..." read about the ICP's HERE.

The flame at low power. The most common reaction I get (aside from the goat fuckers who always yell out "Ghostbusters!" when I drive by, and yes, they are goat fuckers, don't fool yourself) is "Isn't that dangerous? Having combustible gas on your roof?" to which I have to give a little PSA on propane.
Propane is actually pretty damned safe, at least as safe as you get when you are in the market of 15 foot fireballs. Propane, hydrocarbon C3H8, requires a combustion point of at least 940 degrees. Gasoline on the other hand has a combustion point of 430 degrees, and a Cadillac tank holds some 30 gallons of this stuff. If my car ever did get to a temperature of 940 degrees, I somehow gather that my problems are going to be much bigger than a ruptured propane tank.

This is a closer look at the rear landau section. The landau bars are accentuated by lightning rod tubes that actually shoot little bolts of green lightening through them. For a closer look CLICK HERE FOR A VIDEO
