wooden pipe opinion

i just bought a cheap tobacco pipe [that i'll be using for marijuana] from a friend who no longer wanted it. it's pretty similar to the one in the picture except the last half of the tube is a detachable plastic piece.

i was just asking for your all's opinion on whether or not i should saw down the bowl to make it better for marijuana. it looks rather deep as in the picture.

i was afraid that a) i would screw up the sawing, b) it doesn't really even need it, or c) i can just make a small bowl inside of it with aluminum or a filter.

any suggestions?

 

Since it is far down it will cherry longer, since no wind will get to it.

i was just afraid that i'd have to pack a LOT of pot into it... but i guess there's no way around that.

 

Yea you won't have to pack the bowl so often.

 

I konw what pipe your talking about and its actually pretty good for smokin weed out of, if anything the bowl is narrow its depth is perfect cause its a good wind deterent and it cherrys nice! Dont do a thing to it and you should be fine

 

I had a nice wooden pipe like that, but lost it. Just don't pack too much because it can get pretty hard to hit.

yeah, it's pretty narrow. i'm sure it'll cherry perfectly, but i just want it to smoke out of occasionally, and not have to pack it full of weed.

i'll just find a way to light it, if i don't pack it high.

Yea keeping it clean would be the best advice for not clogging.
