I called up a local station giving away tickets. I was caller 20 and got to talk to one of my favorite radio personalities. The festival is called After Shock and it's all expenses paid. Pretty excited! Two tickets,if anyone is in Cali (and cool), I have an extra ticket.
Anyone else ever win tickets on the radio? I'm actually usually pretty lucky at winning stuff on the radio and raffles and things. I used to win a lot back in highschool, but haven't for a while,so I still got it!ha

That's pretty sweet, I'm in Cali and would definitely go to that show for free but it's like a 9 hour drive from me, which would negate the free ticket.

    Congrats!
I have won a few things over the years on the radio. I won warped tour tickets one year and then 3 doors down (which I gave away)

I would have been all over this line up in 1999. These were my middle school/high school jams

System of a Down was Badass live back in the day! Deftones were pretty disappointing tho. Those are the only 2 bands I've seen from this lineup.

I'd like to see Incubus, 311, Godsmack, At the Drive In (if it's essentially the original group) and Sevendust. Probably Slash too, just as a guitarist, but I don't know any of his solo music.

I'm ambivalent about Alice in Chains, they are probably my favorite Grunge group ever but I dunno what it'd be like without Layne Staley.

I answered a question correct once and was placed in one in four chance to win a phone. I never got a call back. :(

That's a great line up! No pressure to see a lot of bands :D

I was one of the cool kids agitating against the popularity of most of these bands :-D

If i was at this festival i would aim to see only 3 bands. Actually really only one for their own sound. But when the weather is nice and the people fun to socialize with that's just as good. Music festival food is improving also :)
