^saying women can't be understood is a bit like choosing a mate based on their astrological sign isn't it? Like just because you can lump a group together based on whether they have a vagina or whether they were born in November or July must mean they're all exactly the same.

There are a lot of women out there who think more like stereotypical men and I've personally come across plenty of men who think like stereotypical women. Most of us fall into a certain pattern when choosing our mates and that's why, as we become older and cynical about love, have a tendency to believe all men and all women must be the same.

I like the part about how women are meant to be loved but I don't think anyone should give up on finding someone they understand as well. Understanding and being understood is a wonderful feeling.

I simply found it to be a nice quote. I think it's geared toward males who've had perplexing and frustrating love lives trying to pursue women they can't figure out. I speak from experience. I get that it is a negative stereotype to say all women are complex and tough to understand; in turn it implies that all men are basic and easy to figure out, and I know that's far from the truth. Plenty of girls have actually had a tough time figuring me out, I must admit. I like the Oscar Wild quote because I'm the type of person who overthinks everything when it comes to relationships and dating, and it's been detrimental to my success.

 

It is a nice quote and I over analyzed it like a typical woman
