i haven't shaved my armpits or legs in like 20 years. if my underarm hair gets long enough i will trim it. occasionally i will wax everything for fun - but every time i have done this it takes so long for the hair to grow back and i actually miss my fur... but i am not a very furry person - so this may be why i can get away with it. most people don't even notice my hair it is so sparse... djh
Scent Away. they make body washes and deoderants for hunters. it works AWESOME. i prefer to use it for daily since frankly i smell like a trucker by 5:00.
I used to shave, and then I re-evaluated this cultural norm for myself and failed to see the point in it. Most ladies I have talked to who shave say they do it for themselves, not anyone else, which is coo' . However, I believe that the idea that body "hair is gross" is something which exists due to eons of conditioning (just like all other societal norms, I suppose). My dude doesn't shave any part of his body (although he does the neck-beard every once in a while), and he doesn't expect me to, as he finds shaving to be annoying and bad for the skin as well.
I shave everything regularly. If I don't, I get itchy, dry, flaky skin and I just don't feel as sensual. I'm a pretty hairy gal; I've tried the no shaving thing, but I looked like a sasquatch after a week. lol
I stopped shaving six months ago. I didn't do it regulary anyway and I like not having to bother with razors anymore, it makes my life easier. Plus I think a lot of women are conditioned to think their body hair is not sexy and that you need to shave to be appealing or something...And you never see ads on tv encouraging men to shave anything other than facial hair, they just do it if they which too - so why should we be any different. I wouldn't mind if a woman shaved or not.
some women can look super sexy with hair under their arms and on their legs. I shave though, I feel cleaner shaved but dang it grows so quick and I'm so dark I have to shave my under arms every 3 days! I'd like to go without shaving but my husband wouldn't like it and I don't think I'd feel comfortable wearing string tops and skirts with bushy hair peeking out.
I shave legs and underarms but nowhere else. That's just how I grew up. But the point is to be comfortable with yourself. If someone else doesn't like it, that's their problem.
I think there's something incredibly sexy about a woman who doesn't shave at all, but social conditioning/pressures make this natural hairy group of women a rather select number. At the end of the day you have to be comfortable with your look, whatever that is, but all power to the unshaved women + wish there were more of you!
I love shaving, and i dont think I could not shave. And idt my boyfriend would like it much eitherr.. haha. It makes me feel clean an feminie, idk i couldnt not shave.
i am in a dilemma , i like the feeling trimming myself but i hate the feeling when they are growing new hair, very itching.
hippie chicks are cool as hell but the not shaving thing is definitely gross. shaved legs and armpits are a must. i really don't understand why they don't. hell, i'd rather sleep with a chick that hadn't showered in a week than a girl that didn't shave her legs and armpits.
sod being single or not.. the extra insulation is needed at this time o' year =] the only downside to not having shaved my legs since early december (which is unusual, cause i usually stop in october or summat) is all the dry skin on my legs =[
What a weird attitude! I don't understand why normal, natural body hair is gross- bet you don't shave yours. And I'd rather be with a hairy woman who regularly showered than somebody who doesn't, though fresh sweat is sexy. Appreciate not everyone finds leg/pit hair attractive (I think it's very sexy), but to call it gross is way over the top. At least any sensible hairy hippie chick can filter you out now!
i don't think it's over the top for someone to feel that way. and it does cut down on a lotta wasted time. i know i was conditioned to find pit hair gross. i still do. i don't hold anything against anyone who prefers to keep it, but i won't likely be attracted to them. and yes, i'm referringonly to women. however the preference came about, it's there. i also have a long standing revulsion for very long hair. that's completely counter to my conditioning to prefer long hair on women. but i hate it. it makes me itch to look at it and if it brushes up against me, i gag reflexively. same with dreads. we all have our quirks and weirdness that we can't really change. nor should we need to. we're not put on this earth to be attracted to everyone, nor is everyone going to be attracted to you. being thin skinned about it isn't going to help anyone.
I shave my armpits but rarely shave my legs. I always end up cutting myslf when I do. Thank goodness for long skirts and tall boots.:hurray:
