Once upon a long ago, there were Storytellers of lore,
Who entertained in word and verse - and musically score.
Creating tales and stories - and attention, they would grab
And so I thought I'd have a go - and give it for, a stab
True, False or Observational - a target for to aim,
Creating short a story/piece - it is the name of game
Based upon song titles, from single artist - is the plan
Keeping it concise, of course - let's see if so, one can.​

 

YESTERDAY, I treated my GIRL badly and now the TWO OF US are no longer an item.
She took a TICKET TO RIDE along the LONG AND WINDING ROAD and now, I'M A LOSER.

 

I saw CHANGES in the REBEL. - REBEL? = Not so much now.
I guess through what many thought were GOLDEN YEARS, the CRACKED ACTOR; so much UNDER PRESSURE saw A LAD INSANE.​

 

It was oh so innocent, when the LEADER OF THE GANG sang ROCK N' ROLL.
Only when he said DO YOU WANNA TOUCH? but keep it quiet because WHAT YOU MAMA DON'T SEE … did Alarm bells ring.​

 

Candy arrived to help.
She carried a large box of sympathy.
She also had the hots for Wolfy.

 

She wants badly to be in Wolfy's gang.
So arrived singing hello hello it's good to scrub you back. Lol

 

Less of a Gang, and more of a Coven - Witch = Nice
That being said, let me dedicate the next Musical tale to you ...

 

"WOULDN'T IT BE NICE if we could bask in THE WARMTH OF THE SUN, ALL SUMMER LONG" Candy asked me.
I mused before I replying "oh DARLIN' there's more FUN,FUN, FUN to be had, - IN MY ROOM" ​

The Scotsman laughed saying "I WAS ONLY JOKING", for he had a REASON TO BELIEVE that although she was not willing to interact - MAGGIE MAY

 

LITTLE BY LITTLE, I saw the consequences of too much CIGARETTES AND ALCOHOL turn the ROCK N' ROLL STAR with a CHAMPAGNE SUPERNOVA lifestyle, into the SONGBIRD that CAST NO SHADOW.
SOME MIGHT SAY that the problem stemmed from being HALF A WORLD AWAY but they denied this, adamant they were happy - and would often say "who wants to LIVE FOREVER"?

 

Candy was late and said Call the Man.
As she had been Halfway up the Hindu Kush.

 

ALL ALONG THE WATCHTOWER through the PURPLE HAZE, the BURNING OF THE MIDNIGHT LAMP saw me questioning IF 6 WERE 9?
Listening intently, it seemed THE WIND CRIEd MARY, and it was then that I realised how alone I felt, here, on the 3RD ROCK FROM THE SUN.
Suddenly however my silent and serene muse was broken, with the FIRE of a MACHINE GUN

 

When ME AND BOBBY McGee got together in the SUMMERTIME, I was so happy TO LOVE SOMEBODY who would CALL ON ME.
But her eyes were turned by another; who drove a MERCEDES BENZ. They took a PIECE OF MY HEART from me. and now I got the KOZMIC BLUES

 

However Wolfy had a Silver machine, that was available to make me feel brand new
At the hop, Danny and the juniors were taking their hats of to Larry.

 

I looked into her ANGEL EYES and was intoxicated. I thought she would be my HONEY, HONEY.
But WHEN I KISSED THE TEACHER and asked her to "LAY ALL YOU LOVE ON ME " she was taken aback and responded by saying "DOES YOUR MOTHER KNOW?"
It was my WATERLOO and HASTA MANIA to a formerly promising academic career.

 

GUINNEVERE was the daughter of 'SUITE' JUDY BLUE EYES, - a LADY OF THE ISLAND.
I wanted so badly to take her away from her abode, be it on WOODEN SHIPS, or upon the MARAKESH EXPRESS.
I was HELPLESSLY HOPLESSLY in love with her, but all she desired, was to go to WOODSTOCK.
She told me "YOU DONT' HAVE TO CRY" and to CARRY ON without her, so I left to go to CHICAGO, - but heartbroken, I got WASTED ON THE WAY.

 

DOES ANYBODY REALLY KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS?

Here comes the sun, it has it's hat on. Not that it is making me feel hot hot hot.
Still, it is better than listening to to the pouring rain, or being 24 hours from Tulsa.

 

When he became of age, he shouted "I'M EIGHTEEN, I'm going into politics to be ELELCTED" and so he did.
Over time however, his nature became POSION, and it was NO MORE MR NICE GUY.
