Eden, for instance, was where man was elevated to the Jews who wrote that myth. Christianity chose to see it as a fall, and has been stupidly trying to twist that myth to a fall.

Do you see, they have become as Gods, which God says in Gen 3 was the culmination of the prior events as good or evil for man?

I like Christianity. Judaism is a fine religion, but Christianity is more inclusive. By fusing Greco-Roman mystery religion onto a Jewish foundation, Christianity fashioneded a set of memes that has done quite well in the marketplace of ideas. Gnosticism, on the other hand, is too esoteric for the contemporary scene--even for the ancient one. No, I don't see that anybody has become Gods--not even close. It's talk like that that turns me off from Gnosticism.

 

Only those who support homophobia, misogyny and inquisitions will think Christianity, with it's genocidal satanic God will thing Christianity a good religion.

You forget that Gnostic Christianity is not as large as it should be is due to inquisitions and murder by Christians.

I read all of your questions and answers and wonder if this is how all Gnostic Christians are? Sitting on my high and mighty chair telling everyone my religion is the only/correct one, everybody else worship a genocidal son murdering satanic God.

You don't set a very good example for the Gnostic religion. Instead of convincing this genocidal son murdering satanic God worshipper to think and look deeper into the Gnostic belief with your posts, I just think to myself "fuck that shit, if this is their kind of attitude"

 

One thing you can say about the Christians, they really know how to take it on the chin with a smile. I doubt you'll ever get into a conversation this deep with an Islamic fundamentalist. So by all means, keep going after the easy target of your ire, it's the safest bet. Bag on Christians all you like, they can take it.

However, they might not engage the conversation for very long as they come to realize you're just spewing frustration instead of trying to have an honest dialog. I'll never understand why anyone wants to bag on someone's faith. Really, what's it to you what other people do in their own time?

Reading a book and adopting it as faith is something pretty common among humans. An outside perspective isn't likely to make much of an impression. Especially when the words are clearly meant to deride them right out of the gate.

 

If you do not like a realistic truth, you show how your morals have been corrupted by your belief system.

I also do not ever say that my religion is the only/correct one, get the quote or be seen as a liar.

Tell me though, what attitude should I have against those whose same ideology today cause them to use inquisitions in the past and who continue to use a lower key inquisition against women and gays with their homophobic and misogynous religion?

What would the Jewish attitude be if the S.S. where still around without changing their genocidal ideology against Jews?.

I fail to see why you're singling me out on this issue, unless you're going to use a few words to predict my entire mode of thinking. How would you suggest I end these issues you hold do dearly? Perhaps I can use my magic powers to end world hunger too, my afternoon is free.

The only impact I can realistically have is to end these issues within myself, which I did long ago. I don't care how people have their orgasms and I'm postive they don't want to know how I have mine, so I don't bother people with it. Haul coal in your ass for all I care. You're free to do so (in America anyway). As for women, I adore them and respect them as I have my whole life. Hanging that line on me is useless.

Also, the golden rule is not a biblical construct. I don't see how you figure I'm not living by it though. Are you just making shit up for effect?

The central tenet to Christ's teaching was that people should not take advantage of each other. Unfortunately, that is how nature works and humans revert to nature at their own will, as provided by God. Personally, I do my best to avoid taking advantage of anyone which has doomed me to get no higher than middle management. I simply do not want to work in a shark pit.

Why do you make such blanket assumptions about people? Particularly such negative conclusions. Seek therapy maybe.

I'm a writer, that's not a rant, it's barely a paragraph. I could fill pages, quickly. But this subject doesn't merit it. You also didn't answer, you just kept spewing. This is not a conversation or a debate, so it's useless to me here.

You are your controller. I am mine. You represent and present whatever mind picture you have of your God or ideal human, and so do I.

The name "I Am" you might see as meaning something like, --- I think I have grown up thanks to having forced my apotheosis through Gnosis and meditation.

In Gnostic Christianity, we follow the Christian tradition that lazy Christians have forgotten that they are to do. That is, become brethren to Jesus.

That is why some say that the only good Christian is a Gnostic Christian.
