not really, they are under absolutely no obligation to prescribe anything, and making a scene would just make it worse. if you're getting them taken out by an oral surgeon recommended by your dentist (as i did) you'll probaboly have to come in for a consultation before you go in to have them taken out. during this time you will meet the surgeon and be able to ask him about the pain and how he'll help you with it. it's a normal question as it is a normal anxiety. if he is weird about discussing the matter, go to someone else. like i said, i was told what i'd get BEFORE the surgery and was also told i could go back to them if i needed something stronger. the doctors are out there, just know who you're dealing with. and if the doctor doesnt bring it up himself during consultation, do your best not to sound like a fiend when bringing up the issue of painkillers
thats pretty fucked up man, if you just had surgery and are complaining about the pain and they dont give you nothing...
I had all 4 of mine done a few years ago, I was 29 at the time. 3 bony impactions and one horizantal impaction. I was put to sleep, stitched up and the whole 9 yards. I got a script for 24 Percocet 10/325. If they give you T3's or vikes...fill them, take a couple, then call them saying you're still hurting and ask what to do. There's a shot they'll give you something stronger. Or say what you have is making you feel rather sick. Percs have less of a chance of making people fuzzy and sick than codeine or hydro.
