So apparently we are a few weeks into winter and it doesn't seem we have a photo thread for it yet. Anyways, here are some of my weekend camping trip I just returned from. A place on my family's private property. For the high desert, there sure wasn't much snow this time of year. Which is quite odd considering how much the rest of the country has been white washed. I guess I'm in a protected microclimate, the lake wasn't even frozen enough to walk on. Woke up Sunday morning to see the fog reflecting off of the lake's surface. It looked as though you were staring into a white abyss with some geese in the background. The pics below don't do much justice. Birds of Prey love to perch in that tall dead tree. Here's the lake once the fog has been lifted Any winter scenery you wanna share with us?
heres one from around a month ago looking for grouse but all i saw was hare tracks and someone had been there before me with a dog that ran all over the place
I agree some of the best winter scene photos are taken at sunrise and sunset. When the sun is setting some scenes almost appear blue
This morning in my garden by etherea posted Dec 29, 2017 at 12:08 PM I've never brought an image from my media gallery to a forum so......................
In Spain......yeah. Here is a very small town with countryside all around and I have a piece of land not far from here (10 minute walk) to grow my fruit and veg. This is the top part of a building that is more than 100 years old. The railing you see is the old outside stair to the entrance porch
Check these cars out in Revere mass during the most recent blizzard and storm surge (btw I didn't take this picture) That's not snow it's storm surge from the ocean which has frozen over leaving the cars entombed in solid ice.
