Let the balls rise I say. Cold water immersion feels great once you get in and adjusted. I rarely get snow to go out and lay in but can wade out in the lake near by and feel the cold water surround my body.
Right now I can only be nude in my home, so the seasons don't make much of a difference. I would like to visit a resort or a beach where I can be nude, but the opportunity isn't there at the moment.
This is something that I don't understand. Why aren't there any indoor nudist places. Sure, going to a resort or a beach is great, but too much sun can be damaging. Why can't we have an indoor place to be nude. Think of places like Dave and Busters (Google it). There are tons of games and activities, plus food. Even if it was just one night a week or month.
The problem is a place like D&B's can't justify the lack of participation on a night like that. They'd lose money. If there was money in being nude there would be a lot more resorts and such. A lot more than there is right now.
Why do you assume that there would be a "lack of participation"? I wouldn't assume that they would get as many people as their best day, but properly promoted, they could at least get as many people as their slowest day.
Let's look at some analytics. There are 50k or so members of AANR. There are 350m people in the US. Even if the number of nudists that would attend a social event was quadrupled that's only 200k or .0005% of the total population. Narrow that down to one locale depending the culture of the region and you might get 30 or so attendees on a given night. Factor in community acceptance where people would boycott the D&B on regular nights because they did this means loss of revenue. Now, I will admit this. Social nudity is gaining in popularity. The Big Nude Boat cruise next February is sold out. 2,300 people will enjoy 11 nights of nude recreation sailing the Caribbean.
I have to admit that I don't go outside nearly as often in the winter. I live in Northern California east of SF and it is down in the 30's at night and in the 40's in the mornings. I will still go out just long enough to feel the air, but that doesn't last long at those temps. I can hang (no pun intended) out for quite a while in the 50's, but then it depends on the wind. In the house I just turn the heat up a bit. But I have noticed that I tolerate the cold much better now that I go nude most of the time.
Late to the party to reply, sorry. I'm from Luxembourg. Round here, and in Germany too, nudity is required in saunas. You sit on a towel, but otherwise, it's 'textilfrei' - no clothing.
I lived in Germany for almost 10 years, I loved the FKK lakes in the summer and the family saunas in the winter!!!
I live by myself and if it is cold, which I find refreshing at time. Or I just put my log burner on and it is nice and cosy, especially when the glow from the fire reflects on my naked body
It is indeed and so much content to look through. The Hip Forum is a great place with good people and fantastic staff to keep it up and running and offering any advice and help if they can. Zen and Captain Scarlet have both given me sound advice and help along my way ( as I am a bit of an "OLD FART", when it comes to tec...lol.).
Yes I think it does...lol. It's the same in my bungalow and the price of fire wood has gone through the roof over here in the UK. When I am out and about I pick up any small branches, that I can carry back with me, free fire NICE, I like it if I can get hard wood (not that sort, "NAUGHTY" ).
We used to live across the road from a park, and I'd get wood for the fireplace from there. I'd proudly say that the firewood was "locally grown and 100% organic". The last few mornings I have got up naked and made coffee before dressing, but it's still not warm enough to stay undressed all day. It's nice to spend at least a few minutes natural, before succumbing to the need for clothes.
I to get logs birch kiln dryed, but price is creating up. So I supplement buy picking up old fallen branches from the park or trees on the side off the road. I save the wax wrapping from Warburton thick sliced bread and also save the cardboard tray from Ginsters Cornish Pasties and empty toilet rolls as a fire starter. As the saying go for Tescos, "every little helps"
I am fortunate that I live in a very mild climate. We get cool and warm. I certainly find a quick nude walk in my yard on what passes for cold here to be exhilarating. The only problem is that nude walk leads to other things, which come to think of it is not a problem after all.
