I sometimes like the look of fur, but I could never bring myself to wear it. The consignment store nearby had a ton of really nice ones, but I can't do it. I have a wine parka, a black wool coat and a white hooded puffy vest.
It's probably a little hypocritical that I don't have such an issue with leather - fur just seems a little worse. I don't really mind 'letter jackets' - that was just a bad joke.
A warm bomber-type jacket. A not-so-warm-but-classy thrift-store leather jacket. a few warm military jackets from different eras, and other battle-dress shirts and pants that are good for moderate cold. Maybe a few more generic coats. And some wool sweaters and stuff.
just a fleece coat i usually keep a thin one and a less thin one... yes i freeze some times but when im outside im usually working so i dont get too cold..id rather be too cold than too hot plus theyre only like $20 so i dont care when they rip or get real dirty on a job....cheap means easy to replace
This is in response to you quoting me in this one. lol...L-E-T-T-E-R jacket. Not L-E-A-T-H-E-R. It's my school jacket I got for academic excellence. It's made from wool, yes, but I assure you, the sheep were not likely killed to make it. The sleeves are vinyl. Edit- I see you already addressed this, lol. Bad bad joke, silly Odon.
yakutsk gets fucking cold, bro. like, if-you-aren't-dressed-warmly-enough-you-are-going-to-die-seriously kind of cold I think out there it's not just a fashion thing. not many good alternatives
Yeah, I know. I'd say it was traditional rather than essential (It is 2012). But not wishing to make a big deal of it - just sayin'.
actually, I think you may be right as long as there are synthetics rated to -60 in a similar price range
For me Carhartts have always been the way to go. Warm and durable as hell, and at $70 bucks you can't go wrong.
So what's with: yeah cuz oil based products are so much better for the world I have a tiny issue with fur. Get over it.
