I HAVE a disability. Let me just say, that was NOT funny.

There are some disability jokes out there that are funny and don't cross the line, but some of them are not, and those are the ones that are just plain mean or make it seem like it's a bad thing to be disabled or retarded. This was one of them.

There are certain ways to joke about certain subjects without being offensive or mean.

all this coming from someone who was crying about a post made by bird_migration jokingly (very obviously joking I might add) saying he wanted to marry a 15 yr old girl or something. hypocrite. I think if one has to stoop to the embarassingly low level of making fun of the handicapped then one is quite wretched. It's just shameful and if I heard someone doing the same in "real life" then I would likely say something as well. I rarely come across such immaturity though. No one said he couldn't post it, but if you do post something of this sort, then don't be surprised if not everyone dies of laughter.
It is not only mentally handicapped people that compete in the special olympics, many of these athletes would beat you in competition so they deserve respect, that was my main point.
