Originally, or so it seemed, the anti-vaxx crowd was a small fringe group. But it seems the more their claims got discredited the bigger the group got to be! And now health care professionals?!

What is causing this huge backlash against science?

More like a lack of trust. I personally do not trust the scientists who “advise” our governments. I might trust them a little more if other equally qualified scientists, in some cases, better qualified scientists, weren’t being silenced in regards to their professional opinions. Why would they be silenced, do you think? I thought we lived in the 21st century! Reminiscent of the Catholic Church silencing scientists who insisted our Earth revolves around the Sun all those centuries ago.

I dare say there will be less and less dissenters as time goes buy as many will succumb to these more powerful variants .

Tell you what's reminiscent, it's the anti-vaxxers denying the science! How many more of them have to die (and spread the disease) before they realize that getting the vaccine is the smart choice?

 

So, you don’t believe there are well qualified scientists who are being silenced? It takes more than simple googling. Investigations and a bit of research are necessary. I think you do have blinkers. If you really wanted to know the truth, you would atleast have bothered to look a little more closely. Clearly you haven’t done that, or can’t do it. We’re going to have to agree to disagree.

 

Have you actually looked at the number of burials and cremations in your area? In Birmingham, uk, one of the largest metropolitan areas in Europe, burials and cremations were the lowest in 2020, than in any of the previous 5 years. I think we’re being lied to.

It doesnt bother me personally one bit as my family are all fully vaccinated . We have the confidence to go out and enjoy ourselves. .

 

I wasn’t talking about the anti-vaxxers. I was talking about reputable scientists who disagree with the Government “advisers”. As you are not even bothered to look at what other scientists are saying, maybe it’s you who is ignoring the science.

And a survey in June showed 96% of surveyed U.S. physicians have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19, with no significant difference in vaccination rates across regions. Of the physicians who are not yet vaccinated, an additional 45 percent do plan to get vaccinated. That leaves just 2% of physicians, so I'll go with the 98%.

Vaccines are hardly a new thing.

I’d rather take my chances with Mother Nature than become nothing more than a guinea-pig and cash-cow for big Pharma thanks…. I know only too well how they operate. I don’t suppose you’re aware that it is written into Corporate Law that they must produce profits for their shareholders even at the expense of the general public. Goes hand-in hand with quite well with stripping us of our freedoms and right too, don’t you think.
