Will there be a national gathering in 2022?

If it is in upper New York state I wonder if it will be anywhere near where Woodstock was held?

 

I was studying a map of the NY lakes region- U.S. National Forest - oh , I see a Rainbow Lake!

 

Actually the town of Bethel isn't in upper New York State, it's only upstate from New York City. Anyway it will be awhile before we know for certain where the gathering will be.

Rainbow Lake appears to be a both a town and a lake in the Adirondacks some 50miles south of Canada.
Perhaps they have a Rainbow Motel also? Yes, it's a romantic notion to choose it as a Gathering spot.

Gathering sites are carefully chosen by the scouts. Need good water, springs.

 

It also needs a certain amount of isolation. Too close to civilization can lead to friction.

 

You will always be far away.

 

The latest updates indicate the 2023 gathering will be in either Pennsylvania or New Hampshire, but nothing's definite yet.
