This has been the talk for many years. With the large amount of extremists, I could definitely see it happening and try and usher in a one world religion. Thoughts?
Well if it was the UN's goal to create a one world religion, then I assume they must of selected Islam to be that one religion. It seems to me the reason the UN is pushing for the mass Syrian refugee relocation, and mass muslim migration to the western world is because Islam is a religion that predominantly favors very authoritarian laws and values. Sharia law is a very authoritarian justice system that cannot coexist with the Bill of Rights. When they bring in more muslims from the third world into western nations, they become the new majority who support such a tyrannical justice system, thereby phasing out a constitutional republic and transforming it into a tyrannical superstate where human rights don't exist. The refugee program is not a humanitarian operation, as history shows us that the UN doesn't give a shit about the plight of poor people in the middle east due to a half century of displacing such people from their homes and bombing their cities. Islam is currently the world's largest religion with more than 2 billion believers. If there was any objective to create a one world religion, Islam is currently taking the lead, and I could forsee an incentive to spread Islam more places if their goal was to really create a one world religion. Why invent a new religion, or wipe out all religions from the planet if there is so much power they can acquire by spreading Islam throughout the globe?
To hell with Islam! And to hell to any of their followers too. Coming over to my country complaining about my ways and my customs. Get back to your sand castles ya pack of sobs. I continually like what I see and hear out of Putin and I've had enough of everybody else's opinions and dribble talk.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07dPzM5q43c I am sure he has good intentions, but it's just not very realistic. It's not going to happen. He should focus more on the Catholic Church, because catering to other religions won't bear much fruit. Hard to call for unity and peace, when people don't want it, we are too different, and it would take too much compromising. However, Orthodox Churches are close to us, and we should focus more on those relations and strengthen them.
So let me get this straight.... They want to ban all religion so they can set up a one world religion. That's still religion, in'it?
I don't think a one world religion fits with the traditions and different cultures that have become standard in separate areas. It wouldn't work. The people would revolt.
isn't what christers have been trying to do for the last couple of thousand years? there is a 'world religion' that isn't christianity or islam though, but it isn't about trying to ban any of them. it is in the interest of all religions though, to discourage extremism and the hatred of other religions not their own.
So the UN wants to ban religion, huh? And what if, say, Iran doesn't agree? Will they send some peacekeepers? Have talks at a big round table? Looooool.
A one world religion is completely unnecessary. It will never become a thing all people would settle for so it would always be in an oppressed form. In politics it often makes sense to cater to the majority, in religion it makes far less sense and it shouldn't be that way. That's a big part of why progressive societies became secular. Not to get rid of religion as a whole and certainly not to get one main/world religion. But to ensure there's room for every kind of believer, in God or something else.
Insight magazine..year 2000 As host of the U.N.'s Millennium Peace Summit of Religious and Spiritual Leaders, Jain told an international meeting of 1,000 delegates that religions need to accept the validity of all beliefs to attain world peace. The summit, the first of its kind to be sponsored by the United Nations, was held in New York City Aug. 28-31 just before political leaders gathered for the U.N. Millennium Assembly. The timing was perfect, says Jain, as it allowed religious leaders to update their political counterparts on how to usher in the peace of the new world order through religious universalism.
Just send them back underground, and you won't know their plans! Best leave religion to disappear, which most is...
All those people who want religion to be gone should just focus on education. Not on actively getting rid of religion. That will only cause more of the same thing (ironically the thing that made them dislike religion so much): religious conflicts. And possibly an opposite countereffect than the antireligious wanted if the religion/entire group of people is antagonized long and bad enough. So yeah, the old proverb is true: where 2 are fighting 2 are at fault. Disclaimer: I'm not a pacifist
