Do you think a statement like that is normal? I wonder what would make somebody wish that on another human being.

I had no opinion of her till ten minutes ago.
I saw her speak about Obama's so-called connection to a "Terrorist organisation".
Now I think this statement should come true.
    She is a twisted biatch.
To be fair Obama is losing in the tolerance stakes.
    They both need a nap.
    A three week nap.

Bill Ayers should be classified as a terrorist. Have you heard of him? Weathermen? Weather Underground Organization?

Ayers co-founded that terrorist organization. Activities of the Weathermen were characterized as domestic terrorism by the FBI.

If you think Palin should be ripped apart by a polar bear for speaking the truth, then you are as fucked up as ProfessorGroove. How much do you know about Obama and the people that he has associated with? He is not as squeeky clean as some may think.

I know what she said could be true.
It was not really what she said it was the way she said it.
    Ignoring any nuances.
Some other person had brought this to her attention, as such it came across as very very manipulative.
I appreciate most politicians do this.
I just for the first time saw her for what she was.
    That's all.
Allowing a bear to rip her apart was a tad harsh
Just how I felt at the time.

I know he is not squeaky clean.
    I never said he was.
I did say I was becoming intolerant to him.
At the moment they are both coming across as manipulative.
This has been a long race and is now just becoming a slanging match.
We just perhaps need a break from it all, till election time.
What more difference is their speaches going to make?

Ayers was a politivcal activist in the 60s so was I. He's now a professor at the University of Chicago.

Nixon and the republicans pulled off Watergate. Do we still view Nixon as a terrorist or a crook, or did we ever view him and his minions as terrorists? Did we view Reagan and his Iran Contra scheme as terrorists. I say get a life. Or be ready for the fallout from crap accusations.

What next going to take on Jesse Jackson for being a Black Panther.

I'd rather indict Bush/Cheney for lying to us, and throwing this country into debt.

Gardener your comparisons are laughable. What if your mother or father, son or daughter was killed by one of this terrorists nailbombs?

    Ayers is a terrorist.

    Ayers is a terrorist.

    Ayers is a terrorist.

    Ayers is a terrorist.

    http://www.fbi.gov/page2/jan04/weather012904.htm

There is a difference between a political activist, and a TERRORIST who plants bombs in buildings that kill people. Ayers is a TERRORIST.

What level is that? Understanding that it is inappropriate for an elected government representative to CHOOSE to associate with a known TERRORIST? Ayers can be added to the list of criminals and religious fanatics that Obama has been known to associate with.

Yarapario, here's a video for ya! Wink wink.

What a crock..he associated with the man year, years, after the terrorism took place,,,apparently the government isn't too concerned about him since he's not eactly hiding. So, what's the point...it would make more sense to say Obama briefly came into contact with a guy who was once a terrorist...but palin needs a screaming point since she has nothing of substance to offer. What a piece of trash

Whatever you have to tell yourself.

How long was it after he publicly claimed he had no regrets for his actions and wished they had done more?

However you look at it, the association is inappropriate.

What I read after the fact (her speach).

She quoted the Washington Post I believe, perhaps if she had said or thought this:

    The Pinocchio Test
The question is not whether a connection can be established between Barack Obama and a former member of the Weathermen, but whether it has any significance for the 2008 presidential campaign. Could Bill Ayers become a political embarrassment for Obama? Let me know what you think.

I might have had more sympathy for her position.
But obviously she chose not to go that way.

Whether it has any significance in the 2008 election?

I think it has a lot of significance. If as simple as poor judgement, these associations that Obama has with political and religious radicals, criminals and corrupt individuals I believe is something to be concerned about.

Having dinner parties with a known radical/terrorist.

Former Pastor that spews anti-American, racist, radical propoganda.

Political, business, and personal connections to a convicted felon, political fixer, money launderer.

Top political strategist linked to corruption.

Gave political support to a radical Kenyan presidential candidate.

    The list goes on.....

Are these things that a person in that position of power should be involved in? Is this somebody you want in the White House?

pointless to respond to you wacki, you hate Obama for what ever reason and like any hater reason will never affect your bias. No doubt America wil rise from the current mess as soon as mccain/palin take over where bush left off.

I don't hate him and I am not biased. I had considered giving him my vote for about the past year, it is only recently that I've had the time to investigate and disect him.

Policy issues aside, in my opinion there are certain things you don't do, and certain people you do not associate with as a political figure. Obama has been linked to too many questionable people for my comfort. Simple as that.

One of the men that Obama has political, business, and personal relationship with is Tony Rezko. Rezko and several others were indicted on federal charges in October 2006, for using their connections to the state boards to demand kickbacks from businesses that wanted to do business with the state. While the others pleaded guilty to the charges, Rezko pleaded not guilty and was found guilty of 16 of the 24 charges filed against him.

It should be noted that in 2003, Rezko co-chaired a fundraiser for President Bush. I don't think this is any more appropriate that Obama's relationship.

Here is an interesting excerpt from Chicago CBS regarding the Rezko trial and political corruption in Illinois.

The problem is : "Whitewater" was investigated for 6 years costing 60/80 MILLION dollars, no evidence was ever found that the Clintons did anything wrong.

Do we want that amount of money spent on every scandal that we :beatdeadhorse5:?

Both have shit on their shoes, perhaps or perhaps not.

It does come down to what we all want to believe.
The veil does fall if you look hard enough.
    That speech was Palins moment.
    Obama's has yet to come.

I thank you for bringing that up about Obama...looks like there is months of controversy behind that story.

yup. so many people were gonna vote this election just to vote for the black guy. mccain chose palin just so he'd have a minority on his ticket too. smart move by mccain, in my opinion.
