Thousands of Army, Navy and Air Force health care providers have surged to New York City since late March, to help keep the country’s hardest-hit area from being overwhelmed by a need for hospital beds and medical staff. So far, the thousands of beds provided by a converted convention center and a hospital ship have not been needed, but the extra personnel are coming in handy for the city’s civilian hospitals.

Will Rump ever take responsibility for the over 180,000 deaths that could have been prevented if he had only listened to what the whole expert infectious disease community advised from the very beginning?????????? He was only worried about his poll numbers - so he denied and denied the seriousness of the Covid-19 pandemic. Remember ............ ALL his statements are recorded on VIDEO and AUDIO TAPE. So trying to re-write history and deny what he's said and done is impossible. The proof is recorded for all to see & hear.

The package-deal fallacy (also known as false conjunction) is the logical fallacy of assuming that things often grouped together by tradition or culture must always be grouped that way.

It is particularly common in political arguments, such as the following imagined example from the United States: "My opponent calls out Andrew Cuomo for killing nursing home patients therefor he must be trying to re-write history and deny what he's said and done....

    Package-deal fallacy - Wikipedia

My post has nothing to do with Trump.

Please explain to me how Trump being a bad guy automatically makes Cuomo a good guy.

The sad unspoken truth of right wing thinking is that those who can not work have no value and do not deserve help. They made a big fuss under Obama with their "death panels" trying to make it seem like they cared. But in the end how you care for the sick and old? Unless you have a society like Star Trek with no money someone must pay for the care. It means some kind of tax or cultural view that you should help those in need. Republicans will never accept either of those things.

They will see the results and always blame the cat for the dog shitting in their house.

Yes but I am noting the right wing attempt to excuse the real criminals. It's not Trump it's this guy in a major left wing city who does not care

Always accuse the democrats of what you do yourself.

Exactly this. If some people die because of a mistake by a Democrat ..................... the nut-job right-wing makes a huge splash in the news and makes all sorts of claims & accusations. "He's a criminal! Look how negligent he was! He should be held accountable!" and other such bombastic proclamations. Cuomo from the start took the virus seriously and tried all means to contain it by shutting down the state of N.Y. And guess what ................. N.Y. has had declining numbers for quite a while and is in a much better situation for re-opening things gradually - at a sensible pace.

But when a MUCH, MUCH LARGER number of people die because of mistakes, lies, misinformation, and denials by a REPUBLICAN (Donald Rump) - who always claims he's "in control" of everything - wwweeelllll ............... that's different. All sorts of excuses, rationalizations, and mitigating "soft-ball" comments come from the same right-wing, lying nut-jobs. Blaming REAL HONEST - TO - GOD MEDICAL EXPERTS for "misleading" the American people on the seriousness of the pandemic, saying they are blowing the pandemic "out of proportion" ............ while peddling the "advice" of Rump's hand-picked, unqualified, obedient, rubber-stamp loyalists who swear to any lie Rump spews. No condemnation at all from the same flapping mouths for the man(?) who's "in control."

Remember ................ Rump said, "It's only 1 person coming in from China."
Then ......... "It's only 15 people. No need to worry - we have it all under control."
Then .......... "Just watch, when the weather warms, it'll just go away. It'll miraculously disappear." - A-L-L BULLSHIT. From a man(?) who specializes in bullshit - It's the trademark of his whole career as a salesman. Nothing else ................... just a salesman.

185,000 dead people later, Rump's focus has all but left the Covid-19 pandemic. He and his administration are talking about it in the past tense - like it's all over and gone. The U.S. has 1/4 of the whole world's cases and deaths .............. and the numbers are still climbing - especially in the states where Rump's faithful, loyal LEMMINGS live.

    What a P.O.S.

NYS removed the order to infect nursing homes from its website but the web archive still has it.

Cuomo Delays Release Of Data On New York's COVID-19 Nursing Home Deaths Until After Election

"The state Health Department is offering a new explanation for why it won’t provide the full death toll of coronavirus in nursing homes: it can’t find the records,” according to Bill Hammond, a health analyst for the Empire Center who submitted the legal request, who spoke about the situation in an interview with the New York Post.

Responding to Hammond, the department said it couldn't fulfill the request "because a diligent search for relevant documents is still being conducted."

"We estimate that this Office will complete its process by November 5, 2020. The Department will notify you in writing when/if the responsive materials are available for release or if the time needed to complete your request extends beyond the above date," said the department’s record access officer, Rosemary Hewig.

Whats this asshole going to do after the election chaos is over ? The only thing floating his boat right now is opposition to Trump.

I guess this thread doesn't get much traction cause no one here ever lived in NY.

And have no idea how awful this guy and his cronies really are.
