Also, it's not a new concept. The Powerglove in the 80s did a similar thing. There are probably several other examples of this type of control interaction, but I can't list them off the top of my head. Also, I don't know what sort of twopenny Arfur Daley operations the shopkeepers in Lewisham are running, but the rest of the country has had no trouble with Wii availability for months.
