It's not unheard of. I had a friend who found sex painful after one orgasm. She personally would have preferred to finish a man with oral or hand then to continue vaginally after cumming. If she is in discomfort after she orgasms, you don't get what you want. If she is just slow to build up a second one, then you may need more foreplay, but talk to her first. If she is open to it, see if you can get her to cum 2x without any sex.

What it really means is that a woman can have a second (or third) O reasonably soon after each other. Certainly not instantaneous, but some women just don't seem to leave that pre-orgasm plateau. (they don't go all sleepy and floppy and disinterested and have to have a hot-dog like guys do before things happen again.) Multiples, from my VERY LIMITED experience come from a combination of overwhelming lust, complete relaxation and an "x" factor, which if we knew what it was, we'd all do it every time. Don't rush, don't worry. heck you're getting laid and you both have orgasms. What's the problem??
I suspect the X-factor is chemical. Perhaps one or both need to have the right pheromone interaction? And since many women can have more than one orgasm during, it can leave a guy feeling like he is less of a lover when a woman doesn't cum more than once. The important part is actually that she was satisfied, and that doesn't nessisaraly mean more than one orgasm depending on the woman.
This it's something that didn't start happening for me until my 30s. It's a beautiful thing. Every woman is different but maybe its in her head. Does she think she can only have one or can she really physically only have one? Maybe once she orgasms she kind of "checks out" until you finish instead of continuing to enjoy the experience.
