Why's UNIX so expensive???

    Not that anyone asked, but I use and prefer Linux because, like in life, if you're doing something blindfolded you are relying on someone else for support. Which isn't really a bad thing, unless you're relying on Microsoft!!! Not that Microsoft is really that evil *cough darts eyes* it's just for me wanting to learn how to operate servers, run my own CGI/Perl scripts and not have to worry about whether my host will allow this or that, Linux is it. There is also that whole not having to pay $195 (bare minimum for M$ Server 2003) for lincenses, not to mention the cost of the actual OS package. For the price of learning some stuff that'll go far to land you a nice job (with no colloge depending on experience), you have a secure, fun platform that you can even run Windows programs on (with the right programs ;) )
