Uh, sorry but if someone's going to jump in on a thread and make asshole like comments towards me then I have a right to respond to them just as I did.

That’s an interesting theory. So you would obviously consider these identifiers to be mostly conscious vs subconscious I assume?

    Go screw yourself.

For all anybody knows, you're just a girl hiding behind a male persona.

You may be way off here (who knows), but that certainly makes sense to me. I imagine there must be some studies that were done that would provide even further insight into things like this.

There you go! If you're going to try and take shots at me, at least be woman enough to do it out in the open without making sly hints and innuendos :cheers2:

You can shove booze up your ass and get a helluva buzz. Doesn't mean it's a good idea (Stolen from another member who I can't think of). I think you're reading too much into things. Aura didn't say anything remotely assholish, yet you blasted her with a very condacending dickish remark.

I'm not sure I understand the question.. I think women choose these identifiers both consciously and subconsciously. Not sure where the vs comes into play.

We are known by our usernames here. Women want to be feel feminine, and letting the world know that they have a vagina via username is a simple way of doing so. I'm sure some realize what they're doing, but others don't.

Sure, they could just check 'female' and do it that way. But that's boring, uncreative and not as pretty.

Perhaps I mistook what she was intending to say, but the way I read it came off as such to me.

That’s pretty much in line with Kokujin’s thoughts. Makes sense to me. Perhaps there’s even more to it than that, or perhaps not. It does make for an interesting discussion though…

i think i've pointed this out before, but you've struck me as a girl from day one. maybe your post content has something to do with it, but i think it's mostly just because "fae" sounds girly.

i've noticed that noobs in the sex forums tend to think i'm a girl, which is kind of the opposite of the whole "everyone's a guy" theory, but i think that's just because most sex noobs are here because they somehow expect to find a hippie chick in her underwear to skype with.

    I still think you're a girl

One person thought I was a girl because I used Jo instead of Joe but that didn't last very long.

I find it highly amusing to watch those kids hit on you. Does it ever make you regret your username?

I have been on here so long I don't even remember what gender people thought I was initially... I think people knew I was a girl right away even though my username is obviously gender neutral. Of course the avatar screams 'girl'

As per usual dasymae is right on point. Seriously, you are one of the people on here that I feel like I could really get along with.

I think this is a great point. I feel like femininity is practically criminalized nowadays. There is nothing wrong with being 'girly' if that is who you are.

Fine; but I'd rather have a pic of you in a suit. Just sayin'

I can respect that. And all I'm saying is that whether my sig pic is of me topless, or in a suit, it shouldn't effect the way you (or anyone else for that matter) perceives me.

everything affects what people think..usernames,sigs,post content, threads authored

you have to be delusional to think people dont judge you by that picture...seriously...and its right on topic so dont flip out

people see the pic first....fags think ''i hope he's gay.....stoners think...''what a loser''....muscle dudes think ''nice pecs''.....girls that are not into muscles think''self centered asshole''....girls that like muscles think ''i hope he isnt gay''

and on and on and on.

.the fact that it isnt a natural picture snapped by a friend one day while you were pumped and shirtless speaks volumes also....

so does the fact you couldnt figure out how to to take a photo of yourself without being in front of the mirror...its a kind of lame picture and you would do well by putting up a more classy and naturally taken shot of your muscles
