he was not insane... clearly for a director of entreprise he was crazy ...but he was far to be insane... He was one of those man who took a lot of drugs more than a lot of other musicians ... John Lennon told that he took 1000 LSD trips...it's just a legend but the truth is probably not far away...

Brian Jones , Hendrix , Brian Wilson and Syd Barrett took all great amount of lsd too... and all this can sometimes help to become insane.
But definitly Jim Morisson was a very special soul...with a lot of charisma...a whole sun of charisma.
But not mad... i don't like those people who call mad the man that is original and with special point of vue ...
I d like better to see the things from those beautiful clouds outside than with the eye of a sad soul smellin' everyday the ground...

Been original is a gift... we all are different ,yes, but some are very similar to others... Jim Morisson was not like that ...and a lot of hippies search their own originality their own planet to live in peace.

 

You don't have to like Morrison's music, or poetry, or his singing. For most of the people poetry is just bad writing (that is because they don't understand the meaning of poetry) . But the poetry is more than writing song with rimes, the poetry is the state of your soul. Jim Morrison is honnest in his songs, you can feel the emotions that he is expresing in his songs, and that it's all it matters.

 

Yeah most of people who don't understand Morisson lyrics are often superficial soul... those people don't even find the key of their inner Door.

all good artists are really insane...honestly i doubt lennon was sane hendrix probably wasnt either...its just that they had quieter twists (ecspecially hendrix). god i wish i knew these people.

 

The music of the doors was about mood and the type of atmosphere it created. The doors first album is great to listen to through a powerful stero at night it can be creepy but that is what makes it entertaning. The doors had a few other good albums (LA woman,waiting for the sun) but they werent the best they were just good. Now like the Grateful Dead or the beatles they were great!
