Yep, they got him. Forced him to waffle. Republicans are great at that because most Dems are pussies and they know it.

Americans eat that waffling shit up. No gray areas allowed. If your universe isn't black and white like Bush's, if you see gray areas in the world and like to think things through, perhaps even change your mind once in awhile in light of new evidence (or you've GROWN, for heavens sake), if you're not goddam CERTAIN about everything because you, like Bush, "know how the world works," you're a waffler.

All that remains to sink Obama now is a commerical of him windsurfing, flip-flop-flip-flop with funny calliope music in the background. Americans will crucify him like they did John Kerry. A potential great leader destroyed (Obama, not Kerry).

Our political graveyard is littered with them. We're a teen-age nation acting like adolescents. We deserve what we get.

I wish they could put up a decent candidate instead of the "first woman" or "first black" gimmick. I don't care if a candidate has 4 arms and is green, i care more about their resume and political beliefs than their age, race, or gender.

If I were a Democrat living in the U.S.

I'd still not vote for Obama.

    Or Clinton.

Yep I'd vote for John McCain.

Since you know, most liberals either vote Republican or Democrat.

    Nobody likes the little guy.

    I'd vote for John McCain.

I have to agree with you on that one. If I were Canadian, I'd also probably support the guy most likely to destroy America once and for all.

It truly amazing me that there are still people out there in America that will vote for Bush a third term through John Mc"100 years will be alright with me, we've done pretty good overall economically"SAME, INSANE, WALKING CANE.

I would vote for REV. WRIGHT before I'd vote for McSAME.

Great to see you back here LW! This is a real blast from the past! I remember, as a kid viewing these forums, long before I was ever very political (before I got my degree in politics!), learning a lot from you, from your opinions and how eloquently you always expressed them. Once again I find myself in broad agreement with you....

Why? If America's destroyed, Canada is going to along with it.

It amazes me that people still believe in this "vote" thing. Does anyone know the last time there was a real election...I mean an election where the powers that be hadn't already determined who was going to take the throne. Does anyone realize the number of republicans that have switched sides to take positions as democrats to give us a semblance of balance. There is no Democratic party, there is no Republican party...it's smoke and mirrors and the fact that we're still having these debates is a testament to the sucess of their tactics. You can call me crazy (and I wouldn't argue the point much), but if Dem/Rep made an ounce of difference, why didn't we change course when the Dems came up on top in the last election? I refuse to vote anymore...it just perpetuates the illusion that we have a say in whats happening in our country. That fairy tale ended long ago and it wasn't with a happily ever after.

If you really don't know the answer to that, you really shouldn't be involved in a conversation about American politics. But I think you're bluffing.

    Spot on.

It's a perfect example of mass delusion and mass mind control.

People are conditioned to adopt a team-like mentality, where they are on one side or the other, blind to the fact that both teams are owned by the same person.

Obama is the best chance in decades to change the direction of this country. We can't afford to screw this up. I'm fired up!

    McCain is alot worse.

First of all he loves Israel with a passion. Not for political reasons.

He dreams of war with Iran and expanding the American empire. He wants blood.

He didn't get tortured in Vietnam, instead he got preferential treatment because of who his father war.

McCain's father covered up for Israel when they intentionally attacked the USS Liberty in 1967 killing over 30 Americans. Zionism is in McCain's blood.

Has very close ties and associations to extremists Jewish and Christian Zionists like Kristol. Lieberman, Kagan, Bolton, rev Hagee, and Rod Parsley.

Graduated 794/799 for the Naval academy.

Was a horrible pilot and crashed a bunch of planes.

Responsible for the USS Forrestal fire which killed 134 American sailors.

Cheated on his wife numerous times, and then officially ditched her for a young heiress to a multi million dollar fortune to help advance his political career.

    Too much else to name........
